Bandido has added another major milestone to his Ring of Honor legacy, officially surpassing Jay Lethal for the most combined days as ROH World Champion.
The record was confirmed on October 14, when Bandido moved beyond Lethal’s previous mark of 707 total days holding the championship. Bandido has now accumulated more than 710 overall days as ROH World Champion across two separate reigns, putting him alone at the top of that particular historical category.
It is an achievement built over time rather than in a single uninterrupted run. Bandido’s combined total includes his first ROH World Championship reign in 2021 and the reign he is currently enjoying after winning the title at AEW Dynasty in April 2025. His present run had reached 558 days as of publication, making it the driving force behind his move past Lethal.

The distinction is important. Ring of Honor’s championship history includes records based on individual reign length as well as cumulative time with the title. Bandido now holds the latter distinction, while the benchmark for one uninterrupted ROH World Championship reign remains in Samoa Joe’s hands.

Bandido moves ahead of a defining ROH champion
Lethal’s place in ROH history was already firmly established before Bandido’s latest achievement. His 707 combined days as champion came through two separate title reigns, both of which occupied important stretches in the promotion’s modern history.
Lethal’s first reign began in June 2015 and continued until August 2016. He later returned to the top of the company when he began another reign in June 2018, holding the championship until April 2019. Together, those two runs gave Lethal the combined-days record for years.
Bandido has now narrowly passed that total, but the margin will naturally continue to grow as long as he remains champion. Passing 707 days does not merely place Bandido ahead of a respected former champion; it also underscores the consistency of his relationship with the ROH World Championship across different points in his career.
Bandido has officially gone beyond Jay Lethal’s 707-day total, giving him more than 710 combined days as ROH World Champion.
There is a meaningful difference between a wrestler who wins a world title several times and a wrestler who sustains championship-level status long enough to lead a promotion’s all-time cumulative list. Bandido’s record reflects the latter. Two reigns have now combined to produce a total that no other ROH World Champion has reached.
For Lethal, the record remains a testament to the longevity of his own runs. His 2015-16 reign alone lasted well over a year, and his later championship run added enough time to make him the standard bearer in combined days until Bandido’s current reign carried him past the mark.
The next target is Samoa Joe’s single-reign record
While Bandido now owns the cumulative-days record, another significant ROH World Championship milestone remains ahead of him. Samoa Joe still holds the record for the longest individual reign in the history of the title at 645 days.
Bandido’s current reign stood at 558 days at the time of publication. That leaves Joe’s mark within range, though Bandido will need to continue as champion for several more months to draw level and then move beyond it.
At 558 days, Bandido is 87 days away from tying Joe’s 645-day record. Reaching 646 days would allow him to surpass it and establish a new standard for the longest single ROH World Championship reign. That pursuit gives Bandido’s title run a second layer of historical significance beyond the combined-days record he has already claimed.
It also means the champion is now chasing two distinct forms of immortality in the same title lineage. He has already accumulated more total time with the belt than any other wrestler. If his current reign continues long enough, he could also own the longest uninterrupted reign the championship has ever seen.
Joe’s 645-day run remains a formidable figure because it represents sustained dominance across nearly two years as champion. Bandido’s 558-day reign has already become an exceptionally lengthy one in its own right, but records centered on a single reign demand a different level of endurance from cumulative records spread over multiple championship runs.
How Bandido’s record was built
Bandido first held the ROH World Championship in 2021. That reign is part of the total that has now pushed him past Lethal. His current tenure began when he captured the championship at AEW Dynasty in April 2025, and it has provided the bulk of the momentum in his climb through the record book.
By holding the title for 558 days in the current reign alone, Bandido has positioned himself among the promotion’s longest-reigning champions even before accounting for his earlier time at the top. Adding the duration of his 2021 reign to the ongoing run has allowed him to exceed the 707 days established by Lethal.
The combined number is especially notable because it recognizes title longevity across a wrestler’s full history with a championship. A performer does not need to hold the belt without interruption for years to leave a lasting mark; multiple successful reigns can produce an equally compelling measure of importance. Bandido has now become the clearest example of that in ROH World Championship history.
His current reign has also transformed the scale of the record chase. At the start of this title run, Lethal’s total would have represented a distant historical benchmark. More than 550 days later, Bandido has not only closed the gap but moved ahead, and he is still active as champion.
A landmark with more history still available
Bandido’s move into first place for combined ROH World Championship days will stand as a major landmark regardless of what happens next. Lethal’s 707-day benchmark represented the accumulated work of two substantial reigns, and Bandido has now eclipsed it with his own pair of title runs.
Yet the nature of an ongoing reign means the story remains unfinished. Every additional day Bandido holds the championship extends the combined-days record that he now owns. At the same time, every additional day takes him closer to Joe’s 645-day single-reign mark.
That creates a clear historical focus for the remainder of Bandido’s championship tenure. The combined record is no longer a pursuit; it belongs to him. The next question is whether his current run can reach 645 days and ultimately go one day further.
For now, the numbers are definitive: Bandido has passed Jay Lethal and stands as the ROH World Champion with the most overall days carrying the title. With his current reign sitting at 558 days, he has already secured one of the promotion’s most significant championship records and has another within sight.
Ring of Honor’s title history has been shaped by long reigns, repeat champions, and performers who defined particular eras. Bandido now occupies a unique place in that history. He has accumulated more total days as ROH World Champion than anyone else, and his continuing reign could still add another record-setting chapter to that accomplishment.
