NJPW continued its Road to Destruction tour on September 13 at Sendai Sunplaza Hall in Miyagi, delivering a seven-match card that featured faction competition throughout the lineup and a significant Unbound Co. victory in the main event.
The event, which aired on NJPW World, saw Yota Tsuji, Taiji Ishimori and Shingo Takagi represent Unbound Co. in the closing six-man tag. The trio defeated the established combination of Hirooki Goto, YOH and YOSHI-HASHI, giving Unbound Co. the final word on a night where the group was involved in multiple matches.
Sendai’s Road to Destruction stop also included appearances by United Empire, HOUSE OF TORTURE, TMDK, El Desperado, Shota Umino, Yuya Uemura, Great-O-Khan, HENARE, Jeff Cobb, Taichi and Aaron Wolf. With a broad collection of NJPW’s roster competing across the card, the event emphasized the shifting alliances and competitive encounters that define the tour format.
Unbound Co. Takes the Main Event
The final match put Unbound Co.’s Tsuji, Ishimori and Takagi against Goto, YOH and YOSHI-HASHI. Tsuji, Ishimori and Takagi emerged victorious, ending the show on a winning note for their side.

Each participant brought a distinct profile into the six-man contest. Tsuji and Takagi have been major forces in NJPW’s heavyweight scene, while Ishimori added a junior heavyweight presence to the team. Later, Yuto-Ice, OSKAR and Daiki Nagai represented Unbound Co. against Togi Makabe, Toru Yano and Master Wato, though Makabe, Yano and Wato claimed that contest.
That collection of results produced a mixed night overall for Unbound Co., but the group’s most high-profile lineup came through in the closing bout. Tsuji, Ishimori and Takagi’s victory ensured that the unit left Sendai with the main-event momentum.
United Empire Splits Its Matches
United Empire entered the September 13 event with multiple teams in action and came away with both a win and losses.
HENARE, Great-O-Khan and Jakob Austin Young faced Yuya Uemura, Boltin Oleg and Jado in a six-man tag. Uemura, Oleg and Jado defeated the United Empire trio, putting the veteran Jado alongside two powerful younger competitors for the winning side.
United Empire later encountered HOUSE OF TORTURE in an eight-man tag. DOUKI, SHO, Shun Skywalker and Dick Togo defeated El Desperado, Shota Umino, Masatora Yasuda and Tatsuya Matsumoto. While this match did not feature United Empire, it added another faction-driven result to a card already structured around group battles and rival combinations.
In United Empire’s other match of the night, Newman, Zane Jay and Jake Lee fell to Cobb, Robbie X and Gedo. Cobb’s presence opposite his former United Empire associates gave the contest additional significance on paper, and his Unbound Co. side secured the win.
The results left United Empire without a victory in Sendai. HENARE, Great-O-Khan and Young were unable to overcome Uemura, Oleg and Jado, while Newman, Jay and Lee came up short against Cobb’s trio. HOUSE OF TORTURE Earns an Eight-Man Win
HOUSE OF TORTURE’s DOUKI, SHO, Shun Skywalker and Dick Togo defeated El Desperado, Shota Umino, Yasuda and Matsumoto in the night’s eight-man tag team match.
The winning side combined multiple prominent names, including DOUKI and SHO, with Skywalker and Togo. Their opponents featured Desperado and Umino, two competitors who have each carried substantial individual visibility in NJPW, alongside Yasuda and Matsumoto. The result gave HOUSE OF TORTURE a notable group victory over a team mixing established stars with younger talent.
Desperado and Umino were unable to guide their side to the win, but their inclusion together remains an interesting element of the Road to Destruction lineup. The tour frequently puts wrestlers into temporary team arrangements that can shape later confrontations, and the Sendai card continued that format from the opening match through the main event.
Makabe, Yano and Wato Defeat Another Unbound Co. Trio
Togi Makabe, Toru Yano and Master Wato defeated Yuto-Ice, OSKAR and Daiki Nagai in six-man action.
Makabe and Yano brought substantial experience to their team, with Wato completing a lineup that crossed heavyweight and junior heavyweight styles. On the other side, Yuto-Ice, OSKAR and Nagai were tasked with securing another result for Unbound Co. They did not do so in this instance, as Makabe, Yano and Wato took the victory.
The win was an important positive result for Makabe, Yano and Wato on a card where larger units repeatedly collided. It also demonstrated that Unbound Co.’s strong finish in the main event did not translate to a sweep across all of its appearances. Wolf, Taichi and Taguchi Overcome TMDK
Aaron Wolf, Taichi and Ryusuke Taguchi defeated TMDK’s Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson and Kosei Fujita.
The match brought together three wrestlers with varied backgrounds on the winning side against a TMDK lineup that featured Oiwa, Jackson and Fujita. Wolf teamed with Taichi and Taguchi to earn the victory, preventing TMDK from adding a Sendai win to its tour record.
For Taichi and Taguchi, the result offered a successful night alongside Wolf. Oiwa, Jackson and Fujita, meanwhile, were unable to turn their three-man combination into a victory. The bout was one of several matches on the card in which NJPW’s roster was arranged into combinations outside of a conventional singles-match setting.
Nakahara Opens the Night With a Singles Victory
The Road to Destruction event began with Taisei Nakahara defeating Yushin Hatazawa.
As the only singles match listed on the card, Nakahara versus Hatazawa provided a direct opening contest before the show shifted fully toward tag and multi-man action.
