Tavion Heights and Myles Borne will settle their increasingly personal score under a Weapons Wild stipulation at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc on Saturday, October 31. The match was made through the event’s signature wheel spin during Tuesday’s NXT broadcast, turning a heated confrontation between the former No Quarter Catch Crew allies into a no-rules collision.

The wheel was spun after Heights and Borne exchanged pointed words at the WWE Performance Center, with both men revisiting the collapse of their relationship and laying out their respective views of what went wrong. Security was required to keep the rivals apart before the Halloween Havoc stipulation was determined.

Weapons Wild will allow Heights and Borne to use an array of weapons without the usual restrictions. The stipulation does, however, retain a clear conclusion: the match can only be won by pinfall or submission in the ring. For two wrestlers whose issues have escalated well beyond ordinary competition, the ruleset removes many of the protections that might otherwise prevent the rivalry from becoming as physical as both men have promised.

A partnership turned into a bitter rivalry

The dispute between Borne and Heights has carried the weight of a fractured team. Their shared history in No Quarter Catch Crew provides the foundation for the animosity, as the men once operated together before the relationship deteriorated. Tuesday’s confrontation made clear that neither wrestler sees the split as a simple disagreement or a matter that can be resolved with a standard match.

Borne accused Heights of having latched onto him, arguing that their connection ultimately cost Borne everything in 2026. That accusation framed Heights not as a former partner who failed him, but as someone Borne believes became a burden at the worst possible time. The charge was direct, and it gave Borne a chance to state that the consequences of their association have remained with him long after their alignment came apart.

Heights answered from a different perspective. Rather than accepting Borne’s assessment, he said he had lost sight of who he was along the way. In Heights’ view, Borne’s betrayal at NXT Heatwave served as the moment that woke him up. The former Olympian presented the betrayal as a turning point that forced him to stop relying on a partner and rediscover the identity that made him dangerous in the first place.

That contrast will be central to Halloween Havoc. Borne is approaching the match with the belief that Heights damaged his year and attached himself to Borne’s success. Heights is approaching it as a chance to prove that he has been reshaped by adversity and no longer needs anyone beside him. Both men are treating the other as the obstacle preventing them from moving forward.

Heights promises a more dangerous version of himself

Heights’ response was built around pressure, resilience, and his confidence in his wrestling background. He declared that he thrives when his back is against the ropes and there is nobody left to lean on. It was a message aimed directly at Borne, but it also served as a statement about the version of Heights that intends to arrive at Halloween Havoc.

Heights vowed to show Borne that he is not the man his former partner believed him to be. He called himself a “weapon in human form” and the “God of suplexes,” language that fits the physical approach he intends to bring to the stipulation. In a standard wrestling match, a suplex-focused competitor can control an opponent through positioning, leverage, and repeated impact. In Weapons Wild, that approach could become even more punishing when the environment itself is filled with objects that can be used to change momentum.

The announcement does not spell out which weapons will be available, but the name of the stipulation leaves little doubt about the type of environment Heights and Borne will enter. The lack of disqualifications means neither wrestler will have to worry about being penalized for taking the fight beyond conventional tactics. At the same time, the requirement for a pinfall or submission in the ring ensures that one man must still decisively beat the other in the center of the ring.

That final condition matters. Weapons Wild may give both competitors room to unleash frustration, but it does not allow the match to end through escape, count-out, or a decision from outside the ropes. Heights and Borne will have to return to the ring to finish what has become one of NXT’s most personal conflicts.

Danhausen brings Halloween Havoc chaos to the wheel

The stipulation came together only after an unusual interruption at the Performance Center. As security guards worked to stop Heights and Borne from getting into a fight, Danhausen’s laugh echoed through the building. Danhausen, serving as the host of Halloween Havoc, then directed his druids to spin the wheel and decide the terms of the match.

The wheel is a Halloween Havoc tradition designed to add unpredictability to the event, and the possible outcomes offered a wide range of potentially brutal scenarios. Options shown on the wheel included Last Man Standing, Trick or Street Fight, Ambulance Match, and Biker’s Chain Match. Any of those stipulations would have dramatically altered the nature of Heights and Borne’s showdown.

Last Man Standing would have tested which former partner could keep the other down for a count of 10. A Trick or Street Fight would have brought another brand of Halloween-themed disorder. An Ambulance Match would have placed an especially grim emphasis on incapacitating an opponent, while a Biker’s Chain Match would have given both competitors a specific weapon around which the contest could revolve.

Instead, the wheel stopped at Weapons Wild. The result gives Heights and Borne broad freedom rather than focusing the match around a single weapon or a specialized victory condition. It is a stipulation built for a feud in which both wrestlers have expressed anger, resentment, and a desire to hurt the other without having their hands tied by the traditional rulebook.

What Weapons Wild means for Borne and Heights

The stipulation creates opportunities for both competitors, even if their styles and motivations may differ. Heights has made his intention clear: he wants to demonstrate that his former partner underestimated him. His talk of being a human weapon suggests he will not need an object in his hands to make Borne pay, but the availability of weapons gives him another way to reinforce that point.

For Borne, Weapons Wild gives him a setting in which he can answer Heights’ claims without being forced into a purely technical encounter. Borne’s accusations indicate that he views this as a chance to confront the man he holds responsible for major losses in 2026. With no rules restricting the action, the match provides Borne the latitude to fight from that anger and pursue the decisive result he believes Heights deserves.

There is also a psychological element to the wheel landing where it did. Neither man was able to prepare for a predetermined stipulation in advance of the spin. The uncertainty was part of the process, and the eventual Weapons Wild outcome now demands that both Heights and Borne adjust quickly. Their personal familiarity could be an advantage, since each man knows what the other is capable of, but that familiarity could also make the fight more volatile.

Former teammates often enter these situations believing they understand their opponent better than anyone else. Yet Heights has openly argued that he is no longer the person Borne remembers. If that claim is true, Borne may be preparing for a version of Heights that no longer exists. Conversely, Heights will have to prove that his declarations are more than words when faced with a rival who has already shown he is willing to betray him.

Halloween Havoc awaits at the WWE Performance Center

NXT Halloween Havoc will emanate from the WWE Performance Center on Saturday, October 31. Danhausen’s presence as host has already ensured that the event’s wheel can shape the card in unpredictable ways, and Heights versus Borne is now firmly positioned as one of its most dangerous encounters.

The central issue is no longer whether the former No Quarter Catch Crew members can coexist. That possibility is gone. The question at Halloween Havoc is which man can withstand the pain, chaos, and emotional intensity of Weapons Wild long enough to secure a pinfall or submission in the ring.

Borne believes Heights took too much from him. Heights believes Borne’s betrayal revealed the competitor he needed to become. At Halloween Havoc, there will be no disqualification to interrupt their fight, no ordinary rules to contain it, and no way to win without conclusively putting the other man down in the ring.
