Omos wants another chance to stand across the ring from Oba Femi, and he has two particularly ambitious settings in mind for a rematch: WrestleMania or a major WWE Premium Live Event in Africa.
The two powerful stars previously met at a WWE NXT live event in Cleveland, Ohio, last year. That first-ever encounter did not produce a decisive winner, ending in a No Contest rather than providing the clean conclusion that a matchup of that size seemed built to deliver. Omos and Femi have not wrestled one another since, but the Nigerian Giant made clear that he has not forgotten the possibility of running it back.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Omos praised Femi's rise and said he hopes their paths cross again under circumstances worthy of the matchup.
“He's a big guy. He's done his thing. He's conquered some beasts. He's achieved a lot. So, I hope one day we can run it back properly ... I mean, a big PLE in Africa, that would be awesome ... or if that doesn't happen, WrestleMania.”

It is a straightforward proposal, but it is also one with potentially enormous visual and commercial appeal. Omos and Femi are two athletes whose presence changes the atmosphere of a wrestling ring before a lockup ever takes place. Their first meeting offered a glimpse of that attraction in the more intimate setting of an NXT live event. A second bout on a stadium-sized WrestleMania stage, or at a historic WWE event on the African continent, would give the rivalry an entirely different level of scale.
A First Meeting Left Unfinished
The Cleveland bout carries added importance because of how it ended. A No Contest does not settle a question of superiority; it extends it. Neither Omos nor Femi was able to leave with the kind of victory that could end discussion over who would prevail in a true one-on-one showdown.
That unfinished nature is central to Omos' interest in a rematch. He did not frame the idea merely as a fresh attraction between two large competitors. He specifically said he wanted to “run it back properly,” a reference to the fact that their only previous contest did not have a final result.
There is an obvious contrast in their current respective positions as well. Omos has continued building his profile in AAA, where he has worked with several notable names associated with the promotion. Femi, meanwhile, has emerged as one of wrestling's most prominent rising forces and has accumulated a remarkable list of accomplishments in 2026.
That combination makes the prospect more compelling now than it was when they first shared a ring. The match would no longer simply be about two unusually imposing athletes testing one another. It would bring together Omos' growing AAA résumé and Femi's ascent into a major WWE spotlight.
Oba Femi's Extraordinary 2026
Femi has established himself as a major name through a breakout 2026 campaign. Most notably, he defeated Brock Lesnar twice in the same year and won the 2026 King of the Ring tournament. Those achievements have significantly elevated the stakes around any potential opponent for Femi, including Omos.
Omos recognized that progress in his comments, noting that Femi has “conquered some beasts” and “achieved a lot.” Those words are particularly notable in the context of Femi's victories over Lesnar. Defeating Lesnar once would be a defining accomplishment for nearly any wrestler. Doing so twice, while also winning King of the Ring, has put Femi in a different class of attraction.
As a result, a rematch with Omos would not be presented as an untested prospect facing a WWE powerhouse. Femi's growth since Cleveland means that he would enter a second match with greater momentum, a stronger record, and the kind of credibility that naturally invites major-event placement.
Femi also brings a physical style suited to the challenge. Omos is one of the most imposing figures in the industry, which means any opponent needs more than confidence to make a matchup believable. Femi's presentation, accomplishments, and ability to confront elite opponents have made him an especially logical choice for a bout built around size, strength, and authority.
The Ruler's rise is exactly why Omos' suggested destinations make sense. A match on a routine television episode could still draw interest, but it would not fully capitalize on the story that has developed since their unresolved first encounter. WrestleMania is WWE's largest annual platform, while an African PLE would offer a setting with a personal and historical dimension.
Why Africa Matters To The Proposed Match
Omos did not mention Africa as a throwaway alternative. He called the prospect of a big PLE there “awesome,” placing it alongside WrestleMania as one of his dream locations for the rematch.
An event in Africa would provide a fitting backdrop for a confrontation between Omos and Femi. Beyond the spectacle of the matchup itself, it would put two Nigerian-born WWE-connected stars at the center of an event on the continent. The significance of that opportunity is easy to understand, particularly when both men have become associated with a larger global vision for professional wrestling.
At the same time, Omos acknowledged that WrestleMania would be the other ideal landing spot if an African PLE does not come together. WrestleMania has long been a destination for matches designed around unique scale, celebrity, championship stakes, and physical spectacle. Omos versus Femi would fit that type of attraction on size alone, while their previous No Contest gives the bout a built-in reason to happen.
The choice between the two settings would offer different strengths. An African PLE could turn the contest into a landmark event with cultural resonance. WrestleMania could position it in front of WWE's biggest annual audience. In either case, Omos is looking beyond a simple rematch and toward a presentation commensurate with both performers' stature.
Omos Continues To Build In AAA
While Femi has surged through WWE, Omos has been making a name for himself in AAA. His work there has included matches with Rey Mysterio, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., and El Grande Americano, giving him opportunities to test himself against notable opponents within the brand.
Those appearances have helped Omos gain the attention of Mexican fans, and that growing connection adds another layer to his current career path. He is not simply waiting for a WWE opportunity to re-emerge; he has continued to compete and expand his résumé in AAA.
His AAA run also means a potential Femi rematch would arrive with Omos bringing a different set of experiences into the ring than he had during their Cleveland meeting. The names he has faced are varied, and the continued exposure has kept him in front of an audience that is now increasingly familiar with what he brings to the ring.
There is no indication that a second Omos-Femi match has been scheduled. Omos' comments are an expression of interest rather than confirmation of plans, and the timing of any future meeting remains uncertain. Still, his public choice of WrestleMania or Africa establishes a clear standard for how he believes the bout should be presented.
An Attraction Waiting For The Right Moment
Omos versus Oba Femi has the elements of a major-event match even without a championship attached. The unresolved finish from Cleveland creates the question. Femi's extraordinary 2026 establishes his current level. Omos' work in AAA gives him continued momentum and a broader profile. Most importantly, both men possess the kind of physical presence that makes a confrontation immediately understandable to any audience.
For now, the first contest remains the only chapter in their in-ring history, and it ended without resolution. Omos has made his preference known: he wants another match, he wants it done properly, and he wants it somewhere enormous.
Whether that means a future WrestleMania or a WWE PLE in Africa is still to be seen. But after a No Contest in Cleveland and Femi's rapid ascent since then, the rematch has become a far bigger proposition than it was the first time around.
