Liv Morgan has built much of her WWE career around perseverance, intensity and an ability to make the most personal rivalries feel increasingly volatile. Now established as the WWE Women’s World Champion, Morgan has shared which opponents she most enjoys facing—and her answers point directly to two of the division’s most physically formidable stars: Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

Speaking on Six Feet Under, Morgan was asked about the opponents who stand out most to her. While making clear that she finds value in working with a variety of performers, she named Ripley and SKY as the first two names that came to mind.

“My favorite person to work with, I find things about all my opponents that I like, but I guess just off the top of my head, I enjoy working with Rhea. I enjoy working with IYO,” Morgan said.

Morgan did not present the answer as a dismissal of the rest of WWE’s women’s roster. Instead, she emphasized that each opponent gives her something different to work against in the ring. Still, when discussing who forces her to reach another level, Ripley and SKY remained her clearest choices.

“Probably Rhea or IYO [brings the best out], just because they’re both physically dominating in different ways,” Morgan continued. “I like a struggle. I like a battle. I’m full of grit, so I enjoy the physicality that they bring. I feel like it makes me dig a little deeper, it makes me tap into something a little bit different just because I have to kind of match what they’re giving me.”

Rhea Ripley Has Been A Defining Rival For Morgan

The history between Morgan and Ripley makes the latter an especially fitting answer. Their association goes back to 2022, when they teamed in pursuit of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship heading into WrestleMania 38. Their partnership had obvious upside on paper, pairing Morgan’s relentless energy with Ripley’s raw power and presence. It ultimately did not lead to championship gold, however, as the two came up short in two separate attempts to win the titles.

The frustration around those failures changed the course of their relationship. Ripley turned on Morgan, ending the alliance and creating a rivalry that has resurfaced at several points since. The split gave both women a more personal foundation for their future encounters, with Morgan’s refusal to back down contrasting sharply with Ripley’s overpowering style.

Their issue has not been a straight line from one match to the next. Instead, it has returned in different settings and with changing championship stakes. One of their more recent intersections came in January 2026, when Morgan and Ripley found themselves on opposing sides of a Women’s Tag Team Championship match. SKY stood with Ripley in that contest, placing the two performers Morgan cited alongside one another against her.

Morgan’s comments help explain why the Ripley rivalry has remained compelling over time. She is not simply describing an opponent with whom she has history. She is describing a style that demands something specific from her. Ripley’s physicality makes Morgan fight from underneath, absorb pressure and answer with the grit she identifies as central to her own in-ring approach.

That dynamic has long been one of Morgan’s strongest attributes. Whether she is defending a title, fighting to earn one, or trying to settle a score, Morgan’s work is frequently built around resilience. Facing Ripley gives that trait a natural spotlight because of the size, power and aggression Ripley brings to every exchange.

IYO SKY Offers A Different Kind Of Physical Test

SKY represents a different challenge, even if Morgan groups her with Ripley as someone physically dominant. Ripley’s threat is often direct and force-based. SKY’s comes through speed, precision, aerial offense and a capacity to change the rhythm of a match without warning. Morgan’s description of them as dominating “in different ways” captures why both rivalries can bring out distinct sides of her performance.

Morgan and SKY’s televised singles history dates back to December 2024, when SKY challenged Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. Since then, their paths have continued to cross in major situations. SKY later faced Morgan in the Queen of the Ring tournament final, a match that elevated the significance of their competitive relationship beyond a standard championship program.

The two also met with the Women’s World Title on the line at SummerSlam. Those meetings have made SKY one of the more meaningful opponents of Morgan’s championship-era resume, and Morgan’s remarks indicate that she welcomes the demands of that matchup.

In practical terms, a Morgan-SKY match asks Morgan to react to a performer who can attack from several angles and maintain an aggressive pace. Morgan’s preference for a struggle does not necessarily mean she only enjoys a power battle. It means she values the kind of opposition that pushes her beyond her comfort zone. Against SKY, that pressure can come through timing, movement and sudden bursts of offense rather than sheer force.

With Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer also among Morgan’s recent WWE adversaries, the champion has had no shortage of high-level competition around her. Her selections of Ripley and SKY, however, underline how much she appreciates opponents who make a match feel difficult, physical and consequential.

Morgan’s Dream Opponents Include Stephanie McMahon

Beyond the names she has already faced, Morgan was also asked about potential dream matches. Her first singles choice was Stephanie McMahon, a selection rooted in Morgan’s childhood memories of watching WWE.

“Dream match, a personal singles match, I’d love to wrestle Stephanie McMahon,” Morgan said. “When I was younger, I used to pretend to be Stephanie McMahon. I used to smack all my brother’s friends, and that was my move.”

McMahon’s on-screen career combined executive authority, major storyline involvement and occasional high-profile matches. She is also a former WWE Women’s Champion. Her most recent in-ring appearance came at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, when she teamed with her husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, against Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle.

Across roughly two decades, McMahon worked two dozen official matches while holding prominent management responsibilities behind the scenes and portraying a powerful authority figure on WWE programming. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2026. For Morgan, a match with McMahon would plainly carry a personal meaning beyond the competitive stakes, connecting her current position at the top of the women’s division with a figure she imitated as a fan.

It is also a reminder of how wide McMahon’s influence has been within WWE. Morgan’s recollection was not about a specific technical match or title reign. It was about character, attitude and the confidence McMahon projected. Those are qualities that can inspire a young viewer just as strongly as championship accomplishments.

A Pair Of High-Profile Mixed Tag Team Ideas

Morgan did not stop at a singles match with McMahon. She also proposed a mixed tag team dream bout that would put her alongside Dominik Mysterio against CM Punk and AJ Lee.

“But also, I do have a dream match, that is me and Dominik versus CM Punk and AJ Lee,” Morgan said.

The proposal would bring together personalities with substantial WWE history and a clear relationship element on each side. Punk and Lee have already reunited in the ring, teaming last year against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. Both also wrestled during 2026, though Lee is currently on hiatus from in-ring competition following WrestleMania 42. Punk remains a regular part of the WWE SmackDown roster.

For Morgan and Mysterio, the match concept would offer a major spotlight against one of wrestling’s most recognizable real-life couples. It also shows Morgan’s interest in matchups that carry a memorable spectacle factor in addition to athletic intrigue.

Morgan also floated another mixed tag possibility involving The Undertaker and Michelle McCool. Speaking directly to the hosts, she considered the idea of facing the legendary pair with Mysterio and quickly embraced the prospect.

“Also, you guys [The Undertaker and Michelle McCool]. I think I do [want the smoke]. That’d be iconic ... I never thought about it until right this moment, but that would be iconic. That’d be fun. That’d be a lot of fun.”

The Undertaker was open to the idea, though he attached one notable condition: he said it would have to take place on the AAA stage, where he currently serves as head of creative. That response keeps the idea firmly in the realm of a dream scenario rather than an announced WWE match, but it adds an unexpected twist to Morgan’s fantasy booking.

For now, Morgan’s immediate WWE legacy continues to be shaped by the opponents already in front of her. Her praise for Ripley and SKY is telling because it is centered on challenge rather than comfort. Morgan wants physical, demanding fights that require her to dig deeper, and those are the types of rivalries that have helped define her run as Women’s World Champion.
