WWE and AAA’s latest Worlds Collide event has been taped at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago area, with the full card set to premiere on WWE’s YouTube channel on Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST. The special took place on Saturday, September 26, in a notable programming window that put it opposite AEW All Out 2026, though WWE did not present the show live at the time of the taping.

The event will now arrive as a delayed broadcast shortly before AEW Dynamite: A Tribute to Pac goes on the air. Its lineup brought WWE and AAA talent together across a mix of championship, tag team and lucha showcase matches, while CM Punk made a featured appearance in the main event.

The biggest championship development of the evening saw La Catalina retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Roxanne Perez of The Judgment Day. It was the only title match on the announced Worlds Collide card, placing a particular spotlight on Catalina’s defense against one of WWE’s most prominent young stars.

Perez entered the bout with the backing and profile that comes with her place in The Judgment Day, but La Catalina emerged from the event still holding AAA’s top women’s championship. The result keeps the Reina de Reinas title with Catalina and gives the Worlds Collide format another example of an AAA champion successfully turning back a challenge from a WWE representative.

La Catalina retains the Reina de Reinas Championship

The Reina de Reinas match was central to the event’s WWE-AAA presentation. Worlds Collide cards are built around the appeal of seeing different rosters, styles and identities meet, and Catalina versus Perez directly represented that concept: an established AAA titleholder defending her championship against a WWE talent with a major faction connection.

Only one championship was defended, making the outcome especially important to the show’s overall results. Catalina’s victory means the title did not change hands during the Chicago taping, despite Perez’s position as a significant challenger from WWE’s side of the partnership.

Elsewhere, Mini Vikingo earned a major future opportunity by winning a four-way match involving Axiom, Je’Von Evans and EK Prosper. With that victory, Mini Vikingo became the number one contender to Rey Fenix’s AAA Cruiserweight Championship.

The contender’s match was one of the clearest examples of the event using WWE’s expanding talent pool alongside AAA competitors. Axiom and Evans have both been associated with high-energy, athletic wrestling, while EK Prosper brought another WWE presence to the match. Mini Vikingo ultimately prevailed over all three, putting him in line for a future shot at Rey Fenix and the Cruiserweight Championship.

Mini Vikingo earns a shot at Rey Fenix

Rey Fenix was not defending the AAA Cruiserweight Championship at Worlds Collide, but the title remained an important part of the program through the number one contender’s match. Mini Vikingo’s win establishes the next challenger without requiring a championship decision on this particular special.

That result also adds a clear thread coming out of the taping. The event was more than a collection of cross-promotional attractions; it created a direct championship path for Mini Vikingo. The timing and location of his title opportunity were not established at the show, but his victory over three WWE opponents makes him the designated contender.

Another multi-person contest brought together Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada against Vanity Project’s Ricky Smokes, Brad Baylor and Myka Lockwood, who were joined by Mini Abismo Negro. The AAA-aligned side of Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada picked up the win.

The match continued the event’s emphasis on presenting a broad range of lucha personalities and team combinations beside WWE performers. Rather than limiting the show to title bouts and singles showcases, Worlds Collide included a larger ensemble match that gave several wrestlers a role on the card.

Dragon Lee defeats Jack Cartwheel

Dragon Lee also secured a victory at the Chicago taping, defeating Jack Cartwheel in singles action. The result added another win for WWE on a card designed to blend the two promotions’ lineups, while providing a one-on-one matchup between wrestlers whose styles fit naturally within the Worlds Collide environment.

Fatal Influence defeated Las Toxicas in another women’s division bout. The WWE SmackDown group came away with the victory over their AAA opposition, adding to the WWE side’s successful performances on the show.

With La Catalina retaining against Roxanne Perez, the event’s women’s matches produced split results across the promotional divide. Catalina’s championship win preserved AAA’s hold on the Reina de Reinas title, while Fatal Influence’s victory over Las Toxicas gave the WWE faction an important result of its own.

The card’s conclusion was built around one of the most unusual combinations presented at Worlds Collide. CM Punk teamed with AAA Mega Champion El Grande Americano and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio in the main event. Across the ring were Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Omos, representing The Judgment Day side of the match.

CM Punk joins Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano in main-event win

Punk’s involvement had been part of the announced attraction for the show, and his place alongside Rey Mysterio gave the main event considerable star power. El Grande Americano entered as AAA Mega Champion, while Dominik Mysterio’s presence opposite his father added another layer to the six-man contest.

The winning team was Punk, El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio. They defeated Dominik Mysterio, McDonagh and Omos to close the in-ring portion of the special. The result gave the AAA Mega Champion and the veteran Mysterio a major victory while allowing Punk to leave the event on the winning side in his Worlds Collide appearance.

However, the main story after the bell involved neither Punk nor the Mysterios. Oba Femi appeared following the match and confronted Omos in an angle that had not been advertised ahead of the taping.

Femi, known as “The Ruler,” came face-to-face with Omos after the main event. The confrontation escalated quickly, with Femi sending Omos over the top rope. The moment positioned the two imposing WWE talents against one another and stood out as a major surprise for the Chicago crowd.

Oba Femi and Omos create an unadvertised confrontation

The appearance of Femi was not part of the previously revealed card. His post-match interaction with Omos therefore gives the taped special an additional WWE-focused hook beyond the announced AAA crossover matches. While the segment clearly presented tension between the two, no subsequent match or next step was established during the event.

Omos had competed in the main event alongside Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh before being confronted by Femi. Having him sent over the top rope by “The Ruler” provided a striking closing image after a night that otherwise centered on the WWE-AAA partnership and its mixed-roster matchups.

The reported Worlds Collide results are:

  • La Catalina defeated Roxanne Perez to retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
  • Mini Vikingo defeated Axiom, Je’Von Evans and EK Prosper to become number one contender to Rey Fenix’s AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
  • Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada defeated Ricky Smokes, Brad Baylor, Myka Lockwood and Mini Abismo Negro.
  • Dragon Lee defeated Jack Cartwheel.
  • Fatal Influence defeated Las Toxicas.
  • CM Punk, El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio defeated Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Omos.

As a taped presentation, the special’s official YouTube premiere will give viewers their first opportunity to watch how each result unfolded in the ring, including the championship defense, Mini Vikingo’s contender-making victory and the closing angle between Femi and Omos. The show’s structure reflects the continuing Worlds Collide approach: AAA championships and lucha talent remain at the heart of the event, while WWE’s prominent names provide additional scale and create potential stories extending beyond a single card.

For La Catalina, the key takeaway is straightforward: she remains Reina de Reinas Champion. For Mini Vikingo, the night delivered a direct route to Rey Fenix and the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. And for WWE viewers, the final image of Oba Femi standing tall after sending Omos over the top rope may prove to be the moment that carries the most immediate intrigue beyond Worlds Collide itself.
