WWE’s men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2026 is expected to feature five competitors on each side, setting the stage for a 10-man showdown as the company’s escalating faction rivalry continues to take shape.
Survivor Series is scheduled for November 28 in Houston, Texas, and no matches have officially been announced for the premium live event. Still, the direction of the ongoing conflict between The Bloodline and the 946 faction has created a clear potential centerpiece for the show. The two groups have been increasingly linked in WWE storytelling, with Roman Reigns’ family faction seemingly headed toward a major confrontation with the unit led by Royce Keys.
The expected five-on-five format is significant because the main storyline has, to this point, largely involved four wrestlers from each group. That leaves WWE with an important decision on both sides: who will complete the lineups for a match built around rival factions, shifting alliances and the unique chaos that only WarGames can provide.
Five-on-Five Format Raises Major Questions
WarGames is not a standard elimination tag match. The structure puts two teams inside a steel cage surrounding two rings, with competitors entering at timed intervals before the match officially begins once every wrestler is inside. The format rewards teamwork, preparation and numerical advantages, while also leaving room for dramatic arrivals and late-storyline twists.

A five-person lineup gives WWE more room than a traditional four-on-four WarGames match to spotlight existing rivalries without forcing every major participant into a singles match before Survivor Series. It also puts added attention on the identities of the final members, particularly because neither side has made its full intentions clear.
On the 946 side, Royce Keys has emerged as the central figure. His faction currently includes Keys, OTM and Carmelo Hayes. With OTM representing two members of the group, that gives 946 four wrestlers who have already been involved in the issue with The Bloodline. One additional participant is still needed if the anticipated five-man configuration moves forward.
There is presently no confirmed indication regarding who could become 946’s fifth representative. That uncertainty is likely to be one of the more important threads heading into Survivor Series. WWE could introduce an existing ally, bring another wrestler into the group, or use the vacant position to create an unexpected development closer to the event. Until WWE establishes that final member on screen, the makeup of Keys’ side remains incomplete.
The Bloodline Have Several Possible Answers
The Bloodline’s core WarGames group is more clearly defined, even if its fifth spot has not been formally locked in. Roman Reigns remains the faction’s de facto leader, while The Usos and Solo Sikoa have all been involved in the current direction after Sikoa recently reunited with his family.
Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Sikoa would account for four members of a five-man Bloodline team. The most natural additional choice appears to be Jacob Fatu, who could provide a major power presence inside the cage and further reinforce the family’s position against 946. Fatu’s physical style would make him an especially notable fit for a match designed around weapons, cage walls and sustained multi-person brawling.
Sami Zayn is another possible name. Zayn recently appeared alongside Reigns, and his long, complicated history with The Bloodline makes him a compelling option whenever the group is involved in a major match. His inclusion would carry a different kind of weight than Fatu’s. Rather than simply adding another imposing fighter, Zayn’s participation would immediately bring years of distrust, reconciliation and unfinished emotional business into the story.
WWE does not necessarily have to choose only one of those possibilities in the weeks ahead. The company could use the fifth-place question to test the limits of Reigns’ alliance with Zayn, explore Fatu’s place within the wider family picture, or potentially create a scenario in which one wrestler is expected to join before another changes the equation. For now, both names stand as logical possibilities rather than confirmed entrants.
WarGames Is Familiar Territory For The Bloodline
The Bloodline have been closely associated with WWE’s modern WarGames tradition. Since being introduced on the main roster in 2022, the group has competed in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2022 and Survivor Series 2024. They were victorious on both occasions, giving Reigns and his allies a proven history in one of WWE’s most demanding annual attractions.
That experience could become a major part of the story against 946. A WarGames match requires a team to stay organized even as the environment breaks down around it. The Bloodline have already navigated that setting successfully more than once, which gives them a built-in advantage in terms of familiarity. Reigns has repeatedly led groups through high-pressure faction battles, and The Usos in particular understand the pace and danger of the stipulation.
At the same time, past results do not guarantee another win. The Bloodline’s history is full of moments where unity has proven difficult to maintain, especially when questions of loyalty, leadership and family hierarchy are involved. Sikoa’s reunion with the group may strengthen its numbers, but it also adds another personality to a team that has frequently been defined by internal tension. If Fatu or Zayn becomes the fifth man, that dynamic could become even more complicated.
946, meanwhile, would enter with the opportunity to establish itself by defeating one of WWE’s most recognizable factions on a major stage. A victory over Reigns, The Usos and Sikoa in WarGames would be a defining statement for Keys and his allies. Hayes has already shown he can thrive in high-profile situations, while the collective presence of Keys and OTM gives the faction a potentially formidable physical foundation.
Last Year’s Result Provides Added Context
The Bloodline’s recent WarGames record also includes a setback. At last year’s Survivor Series, The Vision defeated a team featuring Reigns, The Usos, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. That result showed that even a lineup loaded with elite names can be beaten once the cage is locked and every competitor is involved.
The loss also underlines why a Bloodline-versus-946 match would not simply be about experience. The members of 946 would be looking to exploit every crack in their opponents’ alliance, while Reigns’ side would need to avoid the kind of miscommunication that can change a WarGames match instantly. With five wrestlers per side expected, the order of entry could be as important as the final lineups themselves.
In WarGames, having the advantage during the staggered entrances can transform the early stages into a prolonged beatdown. Conversely, the team forced to enter at a disadvantage must rely on resilience and trust to survive until reinforcements arrive. WWE has often used that structure to build individual hero moments, surprise turns and dramatic saves, and the unresolved fifth-member spots leave ample room for those elements this year.
Survivor Series Picture Still Developing
With Survivor Series 2026 still ahead on November 28, the reported five-on-five direction provides an early framework rather than a finalized card. No bout has been announced for the Houston event, and WWE has yet to publicly confirm the men’s WarGames participants, the two teams or the wrestlers who will fill the remaining places.
What is clear is that the Bloodline and 946 storyline has the personnel, stakes and faction-based structure suited to WarGames. Reigns’ group brings its history in the match, its family ties and its unanswered questions. Keys’ faction brings a rising challenge, Carmelo Hayes’ star power and a mystery fifth spot that could significantly alter the balance of the rivalry.
As Survivor Series approaches, the focus will turn to who stands beside Reigns and who answers Keys’ call. Those final selections may determine not only the match’s 10 participants, but also the direction of two factions entering one of WWE’s most volatile environments.
