WWE personalities are set to become part of WhatsApp’s returning The Chat initiative, giving fans another way to follow NFL action alongside prominent names from the wrestling world.
The program, which is being brought back by WhatsApp and OffBall, was created in 2025 as a way for sports fans to connect around major events with recognizable figures from a range of athletic backgrounds. WWE’s involvement will begin with the October 18 NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.
For that matchup, Cody Rhodes and United States Champion Trick Williams are slated to represent the Cowboys. WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will be on the Packers side, while The Miz is scheduled to add further commentary to the game conversation.
The WWE presence is also planned for the November 1 contest featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders. Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, collectively known as The Bella Twins, will support the Eagles. LA Knight will represent the Commanders.

WWE personalities enter a different kind of live-event space
The Chat is built around live reactions, commentary and fan interaction tied to sporting events. That makes the initiative different from WWE’s traditional weekly television programming, premium live events and social-media promotion, even if the central appeal remains familiar: placing charismatic performers in an environment where they can react in real time and speak directly to an audience.
For WWE, the NFL games provide a major sports backdrop and a setting that naturally suits performers who have developed distinct public personas. Rhodes and Williams are among the announced names for the Cowboys-Packers game, and both bring current WWE relevance into the activation. Williams is identified as the United States Champion, while Rhodes remains one of WWE’s most recognizable stars.
Morgan’s inclusion gives the Packers a current champion of their own. As WWE Women’s World Champion, she enters the NFL-focused discussion as one of the company’s leading titleholders. The Miz, a longtime WWE veteran with an established profile beyond the ring, is positioned as an additional voice for the October 18 presentation rather than as a designated representative for either football team.
The announced lineup for November 1 offers a different blend of WWE names. The Bella Twins bring their longtime association as a duo to the Eagles’ side, while Knight is assigned to support the Commanders. The format gives each participating talent a clear rooting interest, which should provide an easy framework for the live discussion as the games unfold.
October 18 schedule: Cowboys vs. Packers
The first WWE-centered installment will accompany the October 18 meeting between Dallas and Green Bay. Rhodes and Williams will be aligned with the Cowboys, creating a two-person WWE contingent on one side of the matchup. Morgan will represent the Packers, with The Miz contributing commentary during the game.
That collection of talent provides several different styles of WWE presentation. Rhodes is known for a straightforward, high-profile presence; Williams has emerged as a champion with his own confidence and energy; Morgan brings the edge associated with her current championship reign; and The Miz has years of experience communicating across wrestling, entertainment and media settings.
The announced roles should allow fans to see those personalities applied to a live football setting rather than a scripted wrestling segment. The central draw is not a WWE match or storyline development. Instead, it is the opportunity to follow NFL action while hearing immediate responses from WWE talent with team allegiances assigned to the contest.
Sports-viewing communities increasingly revolve around instant reaction, whether the moment is a touchdown, a controversial decision, a momentum swing or a standout individual performance. The Chat is designed for that kind of ongoing conversation. WWE performers are especially well suited to a reaction-driven environment because much of their work depends on communicating emotion, confidence and conflict clearly to a live audience.
November 1 brings The Bella Twins and LA Knight into the mix
The second announced game will take place November 1, when the Eagles face the Commanders. The Bella Twins will be backing Philadelphia, while Knight will support Washington.
Nikki and Brie Bella have long been among WWE’s most recognizable personalities, both individually and together. Their appearance as Eagles supporters maintains the team-versus-team structure established for the October 18 game. Rather than splitting them across the matchup, the initiative will place the twins on the same side for Philadelphia.
Knight will take the opposing role as the Commanders supporter. His participation is a natural fit for a live-chat concept centered on personality. Knight has cultivated a strong connection with WWE audiences through a direct and energetic speaking style, and the NFL setting gives him a fresh platform for that approach.
The November 1 installment also demonstrates that the WWE involvement is not limited to a single promotional appearance. With a second game and a different group of talent already announced, The Chat is positioned to use several WWE stars across multiple NFL matchups. The names selected span current champions, established veterans and performers whose profiles reach different portions of the WWE audience.
A crossover built on personalities and fandom
Wrestling and football have often shared an audience interested in live spectacle, memorable characters and passionate team or performer loyalty. This initiative does not require WWE to alter its in-ring product in order to reach that overlap. Instead, it places WWE talent into an existing conversation around NFL games and lets their individual voices carry the connection.
The approach also puts emphasis on the wrestlers’ own interests and reactions. Fans who follow Rhodes, Williams, Morgan, The Miz, The Bella Twins or Knight will have a reason to engage with the NFL games through a WWE-adjacent experience, while football viewers may encounter personalities they do not regularly see in a wrestling context.
That kind of crossover can be especially useful for stars whose appeal extends beyond wins and losses. Championships remain important in WWE, and the announcement prominently includes both Williams as United States Champion and Morgan as WWE Women’s World Champion. But live sports conversation is driven as much by immediate perspective as it is by formal status. A performer’s ability to react, debate, celebrate or commiserate can be the main attraction in this setting.
There is also a simple competitive hook at the heart of the plan. Rhodes and Williams will have the Cowboys to defend against Morgan’s Packers. The Bella Twins will take up the Eagles’ cause against Knight and the Commanders. Those pairings give viewers a reason to choose sides, even outside the usual WWE rivalries.
What fans can expect
The announced WWE involvement centers on live reactions, commentary and engagement during the selected NFL games. The October 18 Cowboys-Packers contest is the starting point, followed by Eagles-Commanders on November 1.
No wrestling matches have been announced as part of the initiative, and the focus is on the game-day conversation rather than WWE storylines. The appeal will be the chance to see familiar WWE figures respond to the unpredictable flow of professional football while representing their assigned teams.
For WWE fans, the program offers another example of the company’s talent appearing in spaces beyond its core broadcasts. For NFL fans who use WhatsApp during games, it adds a lineup of recognizable entertainers to the discussion. And for the wrestlers involved, it is an opportunity to show a different side of their personalities during two high-profile football matchups.
Rhodes, Williams, Morgan and The Miz are scheduled to lead the first WWE installment on October 18. The Bella Twins and Knight will follow for the November 1 game. As The Chat returns, WWE’s contribution will be built around the same ingredients that have made its performers stand out for years: big personalities, quick reactions and fans eager to join the conversation.
