TNA Wrestling has expanded the lineup for Destination X 2026, confirming the return of the World X-Cup as well as separate Men’s and Women’s Ultimate X matches for the event.

Destination X is scheduled for November 15 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The additions were announced during the October 22 edition of Thursday Night iMPACT, giving the event a card centered heavily around the X Division’s distinctive identity while also creating a major opportunity in the Knockouts division.

The show was already set to feature a TNA World Championship match between champion Leon Slater and challenger Trey Miguel. With the World X-Cup and two Ultimate X contests now confirmed, Destination X is taking shape as one of TNA’s most specialized annual cards.

Two Ultimate X Matches Set for Destination X

TNA confirmed that both the men’s and women’s divisions will compete in Ultimate X at Destination X. The participants for each match have not yet been announced, but the stakes are already clear.

The winner of the Men’s Ultimate X Match will earn a future opportunity at the X Division Championship. The winner of the Women’s Ultimate X Match will receive a shot at the Knockouts World Championship.

Ultimate X is one of TNA’s signature match concepts and is especially associated with the promotion’s X Division. Rather than using traditional pinfalls or submissions, competitors battle beneath an elevated structure and attempt to claim the prize suspended above the ring. The format puts a premium on speed, agility, resilience, and the willingness to take major risks when the championship implications are at their highest.

The addition of a women’s Ultimate X match is particularly notable because it places a direct Knockouts World Championship opportunity at the center of Destination X. Whoever emerges from the field will not simply have a statement victory; they will leave Edmonton with a guaranteed path toward one of TNA’s top titles.

On the men’s side, the X Division title shot adds another layer to a show already built around the division’s heritage. Destination X has long been a natural setting for Ultimate X, and the 2026 edition will feature a match whose winner can immediately alter the championship picture.

TNA has not revealed the current champions who could ultimately be challenged by the Ultimate X winners, nor has it named any entrants for either contest. Those announcements will be among the key developments to watch in the build toward November 15.

World X-Cup Returning in Edmonton

The World X-Cup is also returning at Destination X. The tournament will bring together wrestlers from around the globe, with the format set to unfold across three matches during the same night.

Two four-way matches will take place earlier on the card. Each bout will feature four yet-to-be-announced competitors. The winners of those two Fatal 4-Way contests will then advance to face one another in the World X-Cup Final later in the evening.

That structure means the eventual World X-Cup winner will need to navigate two matches in one night. First, they must survive a multi-person match where every competitor has a direct route to victory. Then, after advancing, they must regroup quickly for a final against the winner of the other qualifier.

No names have been attached to either World X-Cup qualifier at this stage, and TNA has only stated that the field will include wrestlers from around the world. The lack of announced participants leaves considerable anticipation around how broadly the tournament will be represented and which performers will have the chance to compete in one of Destination X’s featured attractions.

The World X-Cup concept gives Destination X a tournament component to go with its two high-stakes Ultimate X matches. With both qualifying bouts and the final scheduled for the same event, the tournament will be a defining thread throughout the night rather than a single isolated match.

Leon Slater Defends the TNA World Championship Against Trey Miguel

While the newly announced matches emphasize the X Division and Knockouts championship landscapes, the TNA World Championship remains at the top of the Destination X card.

Leon Slater will defend the TNA World Championship against Trey Miguel. Slater enters the event as champion, while Miguel has the opportunity to capture TNA’s premier men’s title in Edmonton.

The championship match provides a major singles attraction alongside a night of multi-person competition. Ultimate X bouts, Fatal 4-Ways, and a tournament final can produce unpredictable outcomes because of their formats. Slater versus Miguel, by contrast, places the world title in a direct one-on-one setting where the champion and challenger will have to settle the result face-to-face.

There are currently no further details announced concerning additional matches or participants for Destination X. However, the card already has several distinct stakes: the TNA World Championship will be defended, a future X Division title challenger will be determined, a future Knockouts World title challenger will be determined, and the World X-Cup will crown a winner.

Updated TNA Destination X Card

TNA Destination X takes place Sunday, November 15, from the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The announced card currently stands as follows:

  • TNA World Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Trey Miguel
  • Women’s Ultimate X Match: Participants to be announced; winner receives a Knockouts World Championship opportunity
  • Men’s Ultimate X Match: Participants to be announced; winner receives an X Division Championship opportunity
  • World X-Cup Fatal 4-Way Match: Participants to be announced
  • World X-Cup Fatal 4-Way Match: Participants to be announced
  • World X-Cup Final: Winners of the two Fatal 4-Way matches

A Destination X Card Built Around Opportunity

The announcements establish a clear theme for Destination X: opportunity will be available across multiple divisions, but no one will have an easy route to claiming it.

The Ultimate X winners will earn championship matches, but first they will have to outlast fields that TNA has yet to unveil. The World X-Cup victor will need to win twice in one night. Meanwhile, Leon Slater and Trey Miguel will enter a world-title encounter that could reshape the very top of the company.

For now, the unanswered questions are centered on the names that will fill out the Ultimate X and World X-Cup lineups. TNA has confirmed the formats and the rewards, but the identity of the wrestlers competing for those rewards remains to be revealed. As Destination X approaches, those participant announcements will determine the matchups, rivalries, and possible favorites heading into Edmonton.

What is already certain is that November 15 will not be a routine night of competition. With two Ultimate X matches, the return of the World X-Cup, and the TNA World Championship on the line, Destination X has been positioned as a major showcase for the promotion’s championship ambitions and its high-risk in-ring traditions.
