Shotzi Blackheart’s first appearance in TNA was not simply another stop on a busy post-WWE schedule. For the former WWE star, the October 22 edition of TNA iMPACT represented the realization of an opportunity that had been developing for years.

Blackheart signed with TNA last month after remaining active across several promotions following her 2025 WWE departure. Her schedule has included matches in MLW, GCW and HOG, among other places, and she recently held MLW’s Women’s Featherweight Championship. That experience has kept her visible and competitive while also giving her the chance to enter TNA with momentum rather than as a performer returning from an extended absence.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Blackheart explained that she had previously wrestled a small number of matches connected to TNA in either 2018 or 2019, at a time when she hoped to become a Knockout. While that possibility did not come together then, Blackheart said finally arriving in the company feels particularly satisfying.

The timing gives TNA a recognizable addition to its Knockouts roster while giving Blackheart a new platform for the unpredictable, high-energy presentation that has been central to her career. Just as important, the move puts her in a division containing several wrestlers she already knows from WWE and the independent scene. That familiarity could make the adjustment easier, but it also creates a range of obvious matchups for the weeks ahead.

Blackheart singles out Zoey Serrano

Among the first names Blackheart identified was Zoey Serrano, known to WWE audiences as Zoey Stark. Blackheart emphasized that the two have wrestled each other multiple times before and said their chemistry has stood out in those encounters.

Her interest in Serrano appears to be rooted in more than shared history. Blackheart described Serrano as a wrestler who is willing to take a rougher, more intense approach in the ring, an assessment that aligns with Blackheart’s own willingness to embrace chaotic and physical environments. A meeting between the two would offer TNA a matchup built around contrast in personality while also carrying the advantage of prior in-ring familiarity.

That history matters in a new roster setting. Wrestlers who have already tested their timing against one another can quickly produce a match with purpose, and Blackheart’s comments make clear that she sees Serrano as somebody capable of pushing a rivalry into more aggressive territory. She did not announce a date for a match or suggest that one has been scheduled, but Serrano is plainly on her preferred-opponents list.

Blackheart’s arrival also means that a potential Serrano match would not need extensive backstory to make sense. Their existing chemistry provides a natural foundation, while their respective approaches could turn a singles contest into one of the more physical bouts available in the Knockouts division.

High praise for Jaida Stone

Blackheart also named Jaida Stone as a wrestler she would like to face. In discussing Stone, she focused on the athletic ability and striking nature of what the younger performer can accomplish in the ring. Blackheart praised Stone’s potential and stressed that, despite being young and relatively new to wrestling, she has already shown sequences that stand out.

The endorsement is significant because it places Stone alongside a more established opponent Blackheart is openly seeking. Whereas the Serrano possibility is driven by previous matches and proven chemistry, a bout with Stone would present Blackheart with a different kind of opportunity: testing herself against a rising talent whose upside has caught her attention.

There is no indication that a Stone match is imminent, and Blackheart did not frame it as a formal challenge. Still, her comments point to an encouraging philosophy for her TNA run. She is not limiting her interest to familiar names or established rivalries. She is also watching the newer generation in the division and sees value in sharing the ring with performers who are still building their resumes.

For Stone, a match with Blackheart would carry clear visibility. Blackheart brings experience from WWE, TNA’s current roster landscape and a wide range of independent promotions. For Blackheart, facing a competitor with Stone’s athletic profile would offer a chance to show how her own style translates against an opponent whose strengths may require a different game plan.

An immediate role on iMPACT

Blackheart was not introduced to TNA as a passive observer. Her early involvement on iMPACT quickly connected her to an active conflict when Kierra Hogan and Tasha Steelz attacked Allie. Blackheart ran out to make the save, placing her directly in the middle of a developing situation rather than holding her debut back for a lengthy introduction.

That save was followed by Blackheart’s most recent TNA match, a singles bout against Allie. The match established that Blackheart is already competing within the Knockouts division, even as the fallout from Hogan and Steelz’s attack remains part of the backdrop around her opening weeks.

The sequence also provides several possible directions without requiring TNA to rush into one particular program. Blackheart has been aligned with Allie through the save, while Hogan and Steelz remain natural opponents after their attack. At the same time, Blackheart’s public interest in Serrano and Stone demonstrates that her ambitions extend well beyond the first issue she encountered on television.

In practical terms, TNA now has multiple ways to use her. She can be positioned in tag-team action alongside Allie, move into singles competition with members of the group that attacked Allie, or pivot toward the opponents she specifically highlighted in her interview. Each route would allow Blackheart to establish her own standing in the division.

A career shaped by movement and momentum

Blackheart’s path to TNA comes after a period defined by steady activity. Since leaving WWE in 2025, she has not stayed tied to one environment. Her work in MLW, GCW and HOG has kept her in front of different crowds and placed her in a variety of match settings. Her recent MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship reign also added a tangible accomplishment to that stretch.

That background may be especially useful in TNA, where the Knockouts division has often been shaped by wrestlers with varied experience and sharply defined identities. Blackheart arrives with a recognizable persona, major-company experience and recent independent momentum. She also arrives with an understanding that this is not her first contact with the company’s world, even if it is the first time the intended move to the Knockouts roster has fully materialized.

Her recollection of trying to become a Knockout years ago adds another layer to the signing. At the time of those earlier TNA matches, the goal was present but unrealized. Now, after WWE exposure and continued work throughout wrestling, Blackheart has joined the roster from a more experienced position. The destination may be one she envisioned years ago, but the circumstances surrounding the arrival are very different.

What comes next for Blackheart

Blackheart has not declared a single immediate target, and TNA has not confirmed her next opponent. What is clear is that she has entered the company with an established sense of the wrestlers she wants to meet. Zoey Serrano represents a chance to revisit a chemistry Blackheart already values, with the potential for a hard-edged contest. Jaida Stone represents a chance to step in with a young talent Blackheart believes has considerable potential.

Her television actions have also ensured that she is already connected to the ongoing issue involving Allie, Kierra Hogan and Tasha Steelz. That puts Blackheart in a useful position: she has a current on-screen reason to compete, while also having a credible list of future opponents who can expand her role once the immediate situation changes.

For now, the central point is simple. Blackheart views the TNA signing as something that took time to reach, not as a random detour after WWE. Her comments suggest she intends to make the most of the opening by facing people with whom she has history and by helping spotlight talent whose work has impressed her. The Knockouts division has gained another experienced and outspoken competitor, and Blackheart has made no secret of the names she hopes are waiting on the other side of the ring.
