WWE staged AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave on the same day at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, with the two events bringing together a wide range of WWE, NXT and AAA talent. The producer assignments for the matches have now emerged, offering a look at the personnel who helped put together the in-ring action across both cards.

The listed assignments include a mixture of experienced WWE producers, active or recently active performers, and names with strong ties to lucha libre. Savio Vega, Johnny Moss, Pete Dunne, Lince Dorado, Fit Finlay, Steve Corino, Oney Lorcan, AJ Styles, Tyler Bate, Mecha Wolf and The Undertaker were all credited with work on matches during the dual-event presentation.

Producer credits do not change the official results or the wrestlers involved in a match, but they provide useful context regarding the creative construction of the bouts. Producers commonly work with competitors to shape the match’s pace, major sequences, finishes and presentation while also accounting for the placement of a bout on the overall show. With AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave taking place in the same building on the same day, the producer list also reflects the substantial coordination required for the combined schedule.

AAA Ola de Calor producer assignments

AAA Ola de Calor featured several multi-person matches and lucha-influenced attractions, including a Mystery Gauntlet, a three-way contest involving Mini-Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer, and a major six-man tag featuring Rey Fenix, Penta and Dragon Lee against Perros Del Mal.

The eight-man tag team match was produced by Savio Vega and El Mesias. Vega’s involvement placed a veteran with extensive experience across multiple eras of WWE and Puerto Rican wrestling on one of the larger ensemble bouts of the card. El Mesias joined him on the assignment, giving that match a producer pairing connected to the Latin American wrestling landscape represented by the show.

The Mystery Gauntlet was produced by Johnny Moss and Mecha Wolf. Gauntlet bouts require particular attention to match structure because their momentum depends not only on individual exchanges but on the timing and introduction of each participant. Moss was credited on several matches across both events, while Mecha Wolf was assigned to this AAA-specific attraction.

The War Raiders’ match against Los Americanos was produced by Pete Dunne and Lince Dorado. It was one of several assignments for Dunne and Dorado across the day. Their pairing on the tag team contest connected two performers with contrasting backgrounds: Dunne has been associated with hard-hitting, technically oriented WWE matches, while Dorado brings substantial experience in lucha-based wrestling.

One of the more notable names on the Ola de Calor list was The Undertaker, who was credited alongside Savio Vega for El Carnicero vs. Chris Carter. The Undertaker has remained involved with WWE in a mentorship capacity since retiring from regular in-ring competition, and this assignment marked his role on a singles match at the event. Vega’s second producer credit of the AAA card came on the same bout.

The three-way match between Mini-Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer was produced by Lince Dorado. With all three wrestlers associated with fast-paced, aerial offense, Dorado’s role was a natural fit for a match built around competitors known for athletic movement and high-risk wrestling.

Johnny Moss was listed as the producer for El Fiscal vs. La Parka vs. Damian Priest vs. El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. The four-way match brought together names from different corners of the AAA and WWE rosters, with Damian Priest representing WWE alongside El Fiscal, La Parka and El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. Moss was the sole producer credited for that contest.

The six-man tag pitting Perros Del Mal against Rey Fenix, Penta and Dragon Lee was listed as being produced by Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. The match brought together three of the most recognizable lucha-style performers in WWE’s wider talent pool in Fenix, Penta and Dragon Lee, opposite the Perros Del Mal side. Dunne and Bate are longtime in-ring rivals and partners, and the producer assignment added another notable chapter to their shared WWE involvement.

NXT Heatwave producer assignments

NXT Heatwave’s producer list included six matches, beginning with a three-way bout between Wren Sinclair, Zaria and Kali Armstrong. Oney Lorcan was credited as the producer for that match. The matchup placed three NXT competitors in a format where the action can shift quickly between singles exchanges, temporary alliances and multi-person sequences.

Steve Corino produced the tag team contest involving Tavion Heights and Myles Borne against Vanity Project. Corino has been a familiar production presence in WWE and was assigned to the bout featuring Heights and Borne against the Vanity Project team. The match was one of two appearances for Borne on the Heatwave card, as he was also listed in a later singles contest.

Johnny Moss produced Jaida Parker vs. Nattie. The assignment was Moss’ first of three on the NXT Heatwave card after also receiving credits for two matches during AAA Ola de Calor. Parker and Nattie’s match brought a developing NXT name together with a veteran who has competed at the highest level of WWE for years.

Moss was also credited as the producer for Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan. Like the Parker-Nattie match, the Grey-Jordan contest was a singles bout on the Heatwave lineup. Moss’ multiple assignments across the day made him one of the busiest listed producers for the combined events.

Fit Finlay produced Myles Borne vs. Jackson Drake. Finlay’s name has long been associated with WWE’s in-ring production process, and he was assigned to Borne’s second match of Heatwave. Borne’s involvement in both the tag team bout and the singles match stood out on the event card, while Drake was listed as his opponent for the Finlay-produced contest.

The NXT Heatwave card concluded, in terms of the listed producer assignments, with Tony D’Angelo vs. Cruz Montana vs. Grayson Waller vs. Zilla Fatu. AJ Styles was credited as the producer for the four-way match. Styles’ assignment was among the most eye-catching credits from the event, placing one of WWE’s most accomplished modern performers behind the scenes for a bout involving D’Angelo, Montana, Waller and Fatu.

A busy day of WWE and AAA collaboration

The full collection of assignments illustrates the range of formats presented across AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave. The two cards included singles matches, tag team action, three-way bouts, four-way bouts, an eight-man tag, a six-man tag and a gauntlet match. That variety required producers with different strengths and familiarity with the respective styles of the wrestlers involved.

The AAA side of the day leaned into a roster blend that included established lucha names, WWE talent and crossover attractions. The NXT side similarly featured a combination of emerging performers, established NXT personalities and veteran WWE names. The producer assignments mirrored that blend, with WWE figures such as The Undertaker, AJ Styles and Fit Finlay appearing alongside personnel including Savio Vega, Mecha Wolf and Lince Dorado.

No match results were included with the available producer credits, and the assignments should be viewed specifically as a behind-the-scenes breakdown of who was responsible for helping construct the matches. Still, the list provides a clearer picture of the personnel working to deliver WWE’s same-day AAA Ola de Calor and NXT Heatwave events in Edinburg.
