“I never got to meet Andy Williams,” Knight said. “He was there before I got to AEW, but from all the stories that I’ve heard, everything that I’ve seen on social media, he was a lovely guy. Nobody had anything ever negative to say about him.”
Williams was remembered by Knight not only as a wrestler but as a creative and inspiring person. Knight said he wished he had been able to meet and connect with him. The sentiment illustrates how a performer’s influence can remain present in a locker room even among colleagues who did not share the ring or travel with that person directly.
