Kendal Grey’s return to WWE NXT remains uncertain after the former NXT Women’s Champion shared a discouraging update on September 15 regarding her medical status.
Grey posted that she had received news from doctors and indicated that the outcome was not what she had hoped for. “Got some news today...looks like the doctors are still not on my side,” Grey wrote, accompanying the message with an uneasy face emoji.
While Grey did not provide a timetable, detailed diagnosis, or any further explanation of what the latest news means for her eventual in-ring clearance, the post strongly suggests that her absence from NXT will continue beyond expectations. She has not wrestled since losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Kelani Jordan at NXT Heatwave on August 30.

Vertigo can present obvious complications for a professional wrestler. In-ring competition requires rapid movement, precise balance, awareness of positioning, and the ability to safely take and deliver physical offense. With Grey saying that doctors are still not on her side, it is reasonable to conclude only that she remains under medical evaluation and has not been cleared to resume normal NXT activity. Wren Sinclair’s response led to a suspension
Grey’s alliance with Wren Sinclair added another layer to the fallout from Heatwave. With Grey unable to confront Jordan herself, Sinclair took matters into her own hands on the following week’s episode of NXT.
Sinclair attacked Jordan with a kendo stick in what appeared to be an act of retaliation on Grey’s behalf. The confrontation escalated beyond Jordan, however, as Sinclair also struck a referee. That action carried immediate consequences: Sinclair was suspended.
The suspension means both Grey and Sinclair are currently absent from the NXT brand, albeit for very different reasons. Grey’s time away is medical and has no publicly known end date. Sinclair’s absence is disciplinary, and the duration of her suspension has also not been disclosed.
