Chicago Style Wrestling presented Harvester of Sorrows on October 9 from the American Legion in Franklin Park, Illinois, with the event airing on IWTV. The card delivered a night defined by championship stability, a major future-title-shot victory for Erik Surge, and a pair of notable singles wins from Shain Boucher and Kylie Rae.

Every championship defended at the event remained with its reigning holder. Solomon Tupu retained the CSW Championship against Marshe Rockett, Shazza McKenzie held onto the CSW Women’s Championship against Sierra, Hans Carden kept the Metra Division Championship in a match with FXB, and Machine 17 successfully defended the CSW Tag Team Championships against The Outbreak.

While the champions maintained their positions, the biggest long-term development came in the Ring of Destiny Match. Erik Surge outlasted a crowded field and won the unique bout to earn a CSW Championship match on a date of his choosing. That result puts Surge in possession of a significant opportunity, with Tupu still reigning as champion following his own successful defense later on the card.

Solomon Tupu Remains CSW Champion

In the main championship result of the evening, Solomon Tupu defeated Marshe Rockett to retain the CSW Championship. Rockett entered the match accompanied by Steve Boz and Erik Surge, but Tupu was able to leave Harvester of Sorrows with the title still in his hands.

The defense was particularly important in light of the Ring of Destiny outcome. Surge’s victory guarantees him a CSW Championship shot at a time of his choosing, meaning Tupu’s successful night did not eliminate a looming challenge. Instead, the champion now remains in place while a new title contender has the flexibility to determine when to pursue the opportunity.

Rockett’s defeat ended his immediate effort to take the championship from Tupu, but the presence of Boz and Surge in his corner made the championship picture one of the event’s central stories. The results establish that Tupu successfully handled the challenger in front of him, while Surge emerged from the same night with a direct route back to the title scene.

Erik Surge Outlasts the Ring of Destiny Field

The Ring of Destiny Match began as an over-the-top-rope contest and shifted into a four-way elimination match once only four competitors remained. Erik Surge ultimately won the bout, defeating a field that included Rafael Quintero, Axel Rico, Victor Analog, Hans Carden, Jake Painter, Steve Boz, Shaq Jordan, FXB, Adam Stallion, Chris Miller, Shane Hollister, and Eric Schultz.

By winning Ring of Destiny, Surge earned a future CSW Championship match on a date of his choosing. The stipulation makes the victory more than a single-match accomplishment: it gives Surge a championship option that can influence the division well beyond the October 9 show.

Several entrants in the match had already competed elsewhere at Harvester of Sorrows, including Carden, FXB, Miller, Schultz and Boz. Carden had defended the Metra Division Championship earlier in the evening, while FXB was his challenger. Miller and Schultz each appeared in other contests before entering the Ring of Destiny field. Surge, however, was the competitor who survived the format and secured the ultimate reward.

CSW Titles Stay With Their Champions

Hans Carden retained the CSW Metra Division Championship against FXB. The result preserved Carden’s status as champion and added another successful defense to a night in which he also entered the Ring of Destiny Match. FXB was unable to capture the Metra Division title, then later joined the large Ring of Destiny field.

Shazza McKenzie retained the CSW Women’s Championship against Sierra, with Haven Harris serving as the special guest referee. Harris had opened the listed results with a victory over Chris Miller, making her involvement in the women’s title bout one of several appearances that connected the evening’s card. McKenzie’s title defense ensured that the CSW Women’s Championship did not change hands at Franklin Park.

Machine 17, the team of Nathan Nile and KJ Carter, retained the CSW Tag Team Championships against The Outbreak, made up of Abel Booker and Jacksyn Crowley. Barnabas The Bizarre accompanied The Outbreak for the championship match, but Nile and Carter remained the titleholders when the contest concluded.

Together, those results made for a clean sweep by the defending champions. Carden, McKenzie, Machine 17 and Tupu all successfully retained, leaving the established titleholders intact across the promotion’s featured divisions. Surge’s Ring of Destiny win was therefore the principal result that changed the landscape for a future championship match rather than an immediate title change.

Haven Harris Pulls Double Duty

Haven Harris defeated Chris Miller in singles competition and later served as special guest referee for McKenzie’s defense against Sierra. The combination gave Harris a prominent role throughout the event, beginning with a victory and continuing with an official responsibility in one of the night’s championship matches.

Miller was also among the entrants in the Ring of Destiny Match, joining a lengthy list of wrestlers attempting to earn the future CSW Championship opportunity. He was unable to emerge from that field with the win after falling to Harris earlier in the night.

Elsewhere, the Juice Daddies defeated two opposing teams in a three-way tag team match. Joey Pierson and Daddy Andy overcame the pairing of Victor Iniestra and Eric Schultz as well as Valor and Grayson, the team of Jack Valor and Eddie Grayson. It was a competitive multi-team result that gave the Juice Daddies a victory without involving the CSW Tag Team Championships, which remained with Machine 17.

Weapons Match and Additional Singles Action

Shain Boucher defeated Jay Marston in the Fans Bring The Weapons Match. With the match’s weapon-based stipulation putting the crowd’s contributions at the center of the contest, Boucher came away with the victory over Marston in one of the card’s more distinctive attractions.

Kylie Rae also earned a singles victory, defeating Lili Ruiz. The match added another notable women’s division result to a show that also included McKenzie’s successful championship defense against Sierra.

The October 9 card offered a broad mix of match formats, ranging from conventional singles and tag team contests to a championship slate, the Fans Bring The Weapons Match, and the multi-stage Ring of Destiny Match. The latter proved to be the night’s most consequential contest in terms of future title implications, as Surge now holds the right to challenge for the CSW Championship on his own chosen date.
