PRODUCE Wrestling presented PRODUCE Volume 5: Skoden on October 12 at Roulette Intermedium in New York City, New York. The event, which aired on MyAEW, delivered a loaded 16-match lineup that mixed established independent wrestling names with emerging competitors, tag team action, tournament bouts, and several finishes that ensured the night did not end without controversy.

The card was anchored by the Luna Vachon Invitational, with Hyan and Dark Sheik each advancing through semifinal competition. Elsewhere, Lio Rush and Jonathan Gresham saw their match end by disqualification, while Effy and Fred Rosser also benefited from a disqualification finish in their tag team encounter with Mad Dog Connelly and Slade.

With wrestlers including Nyla Rose, Karl Fredericks, Drilla Moloney, Bryan Keith, Lee Moriarty, Tracy Williams, JTG, and Dante Chen all in action, Skoden showcased the broad range of talent that can converge on an independent event in New York City.

Luna Vachon Invitational semifinalists emerge

The Luna Vachon Invitational took center stage through two semifinal matches. In one semifinal, Hyan defeated Jordan Blade. Blade was not alone for the evening, as she also accompanied The Limit in the opening tag team match, but Hyan was able to secure the tournament victory and move onward in the invitational.

The other semifinal saw Dark Sheik defeat Corinne Joy. Dark Sheik’s victory put her alongside Hyan as the two semifinal winners coming out of Skoden. The results established the tournament’s key advancement picture on a night filled with standalone bouts and multi-person contests.

The invitation bearing Luna Vachon’s name gave the show an additional competitive focus beyond the individual matchups. Both Hyan and Dark Sheik successfully cleared difficult opposition, with Blade and Joy falling just short of progressing. Their victories were among the most consequential results on the card because they directly determined who advanced from semifinal competition.

The Limit opens with a win; Dos Gringos Locos also score

The opening contest featured The Limit, Janai Kai and Nixi XS, defeating Kalypto and Tiara James. Jordan Blade accompanied The Limit to the ring before later entering Luna Vachon Invitational action herself. Kai and Nixi XS began the event with a tag team victory over Kalypto and James, setting an energetic tone for the show.

Dos Gringos Locos, the tandem of Gringo Loco and KJ Orso, also left New York with a win. They defeated Julezee and Tiny Giant in another tag bout. The pairing of Gringo Loco and Orso overcame a distinctive opposing combination in Julezee and Tiny Giant, adding another victory to a card that consistently moved between singles and tag team action.

Tag wrestling remained a recurring part of Skoden throughout the night. While The Limit and Dos Gringos Locos earned decisive wins, the later Effy and Fred Rosser bout took a more contentious route to its conclusion. That contrast gave the tag portion of the event several different dimensions, from straightforward wins to a match settled through a disqualification.

Singles action delivers a wide range of winners

Several notable singles contests filled out the card. Matt Mako defeated Pat Sawyer, while Dante Chen defeated Warhorse. Chen’s victory over Warhorse stood as one of the night’s most recognizable inter-promotional style matchups, with both wrestlers bringing established identities into the bout.

JTG defeated Man Like DeReiss, who was accompanied by Julius Smokes. JTG emerged with the victory despite DeReiss having Smokes at ringside. The result added another important singles win to the former WWE performer’s independent schedule.

In another matchup, Tracy Williams defeated The Blade. Williams has long been associated with a technical and hard-hitting approach, and he added a win over The Blade on this card. Nyla Rose defeated Nashoba Naira, continuing the event’s run of singles matches involving talent from across different corners of the wrestling landscape.

Karl Fredericks defeated Javi, while Drilla Moloney defeated Oni King. Both results added to an evening that featured competitors with substantial visibility outside the immediate New York independent scene. Fredericks and Moloney each came away victorious in their respective matches, joining a long list of winners from the event.

Lio Rush-Jonathan Gresham ends in disqualification

One of the most intriguing matches on paper did not receive a conventional conclusion. Lio Rush defeated Jonathan Gresham by disqualification. Rather than a pinfall or submission resolving the contest, Rush was awarded the decision following the disqualification of Gresham.

The result distinguishes the match from many of the other singles bouts on the show, which produced clear winners through standard match conclusions. Rush officially received the victory, but the disqualification ending leaves the match as one of the more unresolved confrontations from Skoden. Gresham’s loss goes into the record as a disqualification defeat, while Rush exits with the official win.

Disqualification finishes were not limited to that singles clash. Later in the evening, another DQ result shaped the tag team portion of the card, reinforcing that the show’s final results included more than routine pinfall victories.

Effy and Fred Rosser win after another DQ finish

Effy and Fred Rosser defeated Mad Dog Connelly and Slade by disqualification. As with the Rush-Gresham match, the official decision awarded the win to the team that was not disqualified. Effy and Rosser therefore earned the victory, while Connelly and Slade were handed the loss under disqualification circumstances.

The pairing of Effy and Rosser represented a notable combination on the lineup, and their win came against a team featuring Mad Dog Connelly and Slade. While the decision was not a conventional one, the result remains a victory for Effy and Rosser in the event’s official record.

The card’s mix of decisive results and disputed endings helped Skoden maintain an unpredictable rhythm. Rush’s win over Gresham and the Effy-Rosser victory each carried a clear official outcome, even if neither provided the finality that comes with a pinfall or submission.

Bryan Keith, Cowboy Way and Lee Moriarty take the multi-man main event

The evening concluded with a large multi-man bout. Bryan Keith, Cowboy Way’s 1 Called Manders and Thomas Shire, and Lee Moriarty defeated Adam Priest, Darian Bengston, Rudy Lockhart and Tim Bosby.

The winning side brought together four distinct performers: Bryan Keith, the Cowboy Way duo of Manders and Shire, and Moriarty. Across the ring, Priest, Bengston, Lockhart, and Bosby made up a four-man opposition. The match gave the event a broad, ensemble-style conclusion after a card primarily built around two-person and singles encounters.

For Keith, Manders, Shire, and Moriarty, the victory capped a night that had already featured a variety of standout names and match types. The result also gave Cowboy Way a successful appearance as a unit, with Manders and Shire contributing to the winning team alongside Keith and Moriarty.
