WWE and 2K are giving fans a direct role in the presentation of WWE 2K27. The companies have announced the first-ever WWE 2K Superstar Cover Fan Vote, allowing registered Club WWE members to choose one of the Superstars who will appear on the cover of an edition of the next game.
The vote opens on Friday, September 11, and it is exclusive to the Club WWE platform. Members will be able to select from eight nominees: Bron Breakker, Fatal Influence, Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Penta, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer, and Trick Williams.
Each registered Club WWE member will be permitted one vote. The winner is set to be revealed when an edition of WWE 2K27 is unveiled in early 2027. WWE and 2K have not announced a release date for WWE 2K27.
Eight nominees are in the running
The list brings together a broad range of WWE talent, including established names, emerging attractions, singles competitors and the group Fatal Influence. That lineup makes the vote a notable departure from a traditional cover rollout, where the cover talent is generally announced as part of the publisher’s marketing campaign without a public selection process.

Bron Breakker is among the most recognizable names in the field, while Penta also enters the vote as a high-profile candidate. Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer and Trick Williams give fans several prominent newer-generation choices. Fatal Influence stands apart as the lone group listed among the eight options.
The stated scope of the vote is important: fans are voting for a Superstar or act to appear on an edition of WWE 2K27. WWE and 2K have not specified which edition will carry the fan-selected cover, whether other cover athletes will be announced separately, or what the game’s various editions may be.

How the WWE 2K27 cover vote works
Participation requires a Club WWE registration. Fans must register through WWE’s Club WWE platform and cast their ballot there. The process is not being opened as a general public vote across social media or the wider WWE website; it is specifically tied to membership in Club WWE.
WWE has set a one-vote limit for every registered member. The announcement does not provide a voting end date, vote totals, or details on whether interim standings will be released. It also does not state whether the final result will be determined solely by the fan ballot or outline any additional voting terms beyond the one-vote rule.
Club WWE combines ticketing, merchandise, community features, rewards and exclusive content in one destination. In the United States, membership is available for $99 annually, which WWE frames as $8.25 per month across a full year. The cover vote gives that membership program a major gaming-related exclusive as WWE and 2K begin building toward the 2027 reveal.
WWE and 2K place a cover decision in fans’ hands
Cover artwork is one of the most visible parts of any annual WWE 2K release. It becomes a central image for physical packaging, digital storefronts and the game’s overall promotional identity. By tying one cover selection to a Club WWE vote, WWE and 2K are making the fan base part of a decision that normally arrives as a finished marketing announcement.
The initiative also puts attention on eight talents and acts before the game itself has been formally detailed. No gameplay features, roster information, modes, pre-order editions or release window have been announced alongside the fan vote. At this stage, the campaign is focused entirely on identifying a cover representative for a future WWE 2K27 edition.
That leaves considerable room for WWE and 2K to reveal more in the months ahead. The companies have only confirmed that the fan-voted cover will be revealed in early 2027. Until further announcements are made, there is no confirmed date for the full WWE 2K27 presentation or the game’s eventual launch.
CM Punk led WWE 2K26’s cover campaign
The previous installment, WWE 2K26, featured CM Punk on its cover. The move to a fan vote for WWE 2K27 therefore signals a different approach for the next game’s cover rollout, at least for the edition connected to this ballot.
CM Punk’s WWE 2K26 cover established the most recent benchmark for the series’ visual identity. WWE 2K27 will now have the added wrinkle of a member-selected representative, with one of the eight nominees set to take that place on an edition of the game.
The nominees create a range of possible outcomes. A vote for Breakker, Penta or Trick Williams would put a major singles name at the center of the campaign. A selection of Evans, Femi, Ruca or Vaquer would give the cover spotlight to a different generation of WWE talent. Choosing Fatal Influence would present a group rather than an individual on the cover.
WWE and 2K have not indicated whether the selection will affect the game’s content, roster positioning, modes or any special edition bonuses. The only confirmed reward for the winning nominee is a spot on a WWE 2K27 cover edition.
What remains to be announced
For now, the immediate focus is the Club WWE ballot. Members can choose once from Bron Breakker, Fatal Influence, Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Penta, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer and Trick Williams beginning September 11.
The eventual winner will not be known until the early-2027 reveal. Beyond that, WWE and 2K still have not announced WWE 2K27’s release date. Fans will also be waiting for confirmation of the game’s editions, the complete cover lineup, platform availability, feature set and additional promotional plans.
