Cinta De Oro has made it clear that he would be open to returning to WWE and stepping back into the Sin Cara role.

The veteran luchador, who worked for WWE under the Sin Cara name before departing the company in late 2019, reflected on the possibility during a recent interview. While he did not claim that discussions are underway or that a return is imminent, Cinta De Oro said he would gladly consider the chance to portray the character again if WWE were to approach him.

For Cinta De Oro, the idea is tied to the perspective he feels he has gained with time away from the company. His comments were not framed as a demand or an expectation. Instead, they were a recognition that both his personal outlook and his professional circumstances have changed since his first WWE tenure came to an end.

“I mean, I think I’ve gotten more mature now. When you’re younger, you do a lot of decisions for your emotions and I get that,” Cinta De Oro said. “As you get older, as your kids get older, and in time, you’re out of that big monster, you realize a lot of things.”

Cinta De Oro Would Be Willing To Revisit Sin Cara

Cinta De Oro went on to say that he would not hesitate to entertain a WWE return if it involved the Sin Cara identity. The character remains the most widely recognized presentation of his career for many wrestling fans, particularly those who followed WWE’s efforts to feature masked lucha libre performers on its main roster during the 2010s.

“For me, I wouldn’t mind coming back if they would ask me or we would, ‘Hey, do you want to portray Sin Cara again?’ I would love to do that definitely again and give it another shot,” he said. “Maybe this time, that opportunity can come. I don’t know, only god has that answer. The only thing I can do is keep preparing myself to continue doing what I love, which is wrestling.”

That answer leaves the door open without suggesting that anything has been agreed upon. Cinta De Oro did not provide details of contact with WWE, and there is no indication from his remarks that a new deal, appearance, or character revival is planned. His position is simply that he would be receptive should the company decide it wanted to revisit the Sin Cara concept with him involved.

It is also notable that Cinta De Oro spoke about preparation rather than nostalgia alone. His focus was on continuing to wrestle and remaining ready for whatever opportunities emerge. That approach is consistent with a performer who has continued working following a major-company departure rather than stepping away from the ring entirely.

His WWE Departure Came In 2019

Cinta De Oro’s final WWE match took place in November 2019, when he lost to Andrade at a live event in France. The following month, he was released from his WWE contract, closing the chapter on his time with the promotion.

The span between that departure and his current comments is important to his outlook. He specifically described how age, family, and distance from the environment can alter the way a wrestler evaluates past experiences. Rather than dwelling on the end of his previous run, he presented a possible return as an opportunity to approach familiar ground with a different level of maturity.

Wrestling careers can change direction quickly, particularly when performers are working under recognizable characters that retain a place in fan memory. A return to a previous role can bring expectations, but it can also offer a wrestler the chance to present that role with more experience than they had during its original run. Cinta De Oro’s remarks suggest he sees value in that possibility.

There is no certainty that WWE will revive Sin Cara in any form, nor is there any confirmation that Cinta De Oro will return to the company. Still, his willingness removes one potential obstacle if the conversation were ever to happen. He is not shutting the door on a past identity; he is openly acknowledging that he would like another opportunity with it.

“Anything Is Possible” In Wrestling

When discussing the hypothetical nature of a WWE comeback, Cinta De Oro emphasized the unpredictability of the wrestling business. He acknowledged that he thinks about different potential outcomes, but he stopped short of portraying those thoughts as anything beyond possibilities.

“It’s something that I really think about sometimes in my head, like what if this and what if that happened?” Cinta De Oro said. “In wrestling, anything is possible, you understand that.”

That sentiment is familiar across professional wrestling, where changing business relationships, shifting creative directions, and the passage of time can all create openings that once seemed unlikely. For Cinta De Oro, however, the meaningful point is not that a WWE return is guaranteed. It is that he believes it remains possible enough to be worth considering, and that he would be prepared to say yes.

The Sin Cara name carries a distinct place in WWE history because it was built around a masked lucha presentation on a global stage. Reintroducing any legacy persona requires more than recognition alone. It would need a clear reason within WWE’s current landscape and a plan for how the character would be presented. Cinta De Oro’s comments do not answer those creative questions, but they do establish that he would be interested in being part of that process.

Cinta De Oro Has Remained Active Outside WWE

Since leaving WWE, Cinta De Oro has continued competing in professional wrestling. His post-WWE work has included appearances for The Crash as well as activity connected to his own promotion, Cinta de Oro. Remaining active has allowed him to continue doing the work he identifies as central to his career: wrestling.

That continued involvement also gives context to his statement about keeping himself prepared. A potential return to WWE would not be a case of someone looking to re-enter the industry after a long absence. Cinta De Oro has stayed connected to the ring and to the independent wrestling environment following his release.

His experience as both an in-ring performer and a promoter may also inform the maturity he referenced. Working outside WWE can require a wrestler to take on different responsibilities and view the industry from several angles. Cinta De Oro did not specifically connect those experiences to his interest in returning, but he made clear that time away has changed how he thinks about the past and the future.

No Return Has Been Announced

At present, Cinta De Oro’s remarks should be viewed as an expression of interest rather than confirmation of a WWE comeback. He has not announced a return, WWE has not announced his signing, and no timetable was offered for a possible reunion with the Sin Cara character.

What is clear is that the former Sin Cara is willing to revisit that chapter. He believes he is more mature than he was during his earlier run, remains committed to wrestling, and sees no reason to rule out a return in an industry he describes as full of possibilities.

For now, Cinta De Oro will continue his work outside WWE. But if the call ever comes asking whether he wants another run as Sin Cara, he has already provided his answer: he would love the opportunity to give it another shot.
