Brad Williams has identified the WWE opponent he most wants to face following his memorable SummerSlam appearance: Hornswoggle.
Williams appeared at WWE SummerSlam as Minihausen, joining Danhausen in the Human Monies on a Pole match against Dominik Mysterio. Danhausen emerged victorious from that unusual encounter, and Williams’ involvement gave him a close-up taste of WWE’s in-ring spectacle. Now, the comedian is openly interested in going beyond a one-off appearance and working an actual match.
When asked on Battle on the Battleground who he would most like to wrestle, Williams immediately named Hornswoggle. Williams explained that the two have worked together in some capacity before, but he sees considerable appeal in putting their names on a properly promoted bout.
“Hornswoggle, of course,” Williams said. “I’ve done some stuff with him, but I want to have a full-fledged match. I would love to do that. We’re only going to do that if we’re going to make a ton of money because we would. You just advertise Brad Williams vs. Hornswoggle. That’s the Mega Powers exploding. That’s Rock/Hogan. People want to see what happens.”

The comments were delivered with the kind of oversized wrestling language that fits the proposed attraction. Williams compared the hypothetical matchup to historic WWE clashes and major wrestling rivalries, invoking both the Mega Powers split and the iconic Rock vs. Hulk Hogan showdown. His central point was clear: Williams believes the pairing would have an immediate hook for viewers precisely because it is an unexpected celebrity-versus-wrestler confrontation involving two recognizable personalities.
Williams Wants a Full Match With Hornswoggle
Williams did not frame the idea as a casual cameo or a quick comedy segment. He specifically said he would like a “full-fledged match” with Hornswoggle. That distinction matters after his SummerSlam involvement, where he was part of Danhausen’s presentation rather than being positioned in a conventional singles contest.
Hornswoggle, whose WWE career included years of character-driven segments, comedy, championship-related storylines, and in-ring appearances, is a natural name for a celebrity guest looking for a match built around personality and audience familiarity. Williams also indicated that their shared stature would make the visual dynamics of the match more credible than a bout against many of WWE’s larger stars.
“I would love to have a match with him,” Williams continued. “Anyone else, it wouldn’t look too believable. If I’m going up against Roman Reigns and I’m doing stuff to him and he’s like, ‘Oh, he’s hurting me.’ That wouldn’t make any sense.”
Williams’ reasoning reflects a practical awareness of wrestling presentation. WWE regularly asks audiences to invest in matchups between athletes of dramatically different sizes, but it generally establishes a clear framework for making those confrontations work. In Williams’ view, pairing him with Hornswoggle would avoid the challenge of asking fans to accept him physically overwhelming a much larger powerhouse such as Roman Reigns.
That does not mean Williams ruled out every other WWE name. He did offer one notable alternative, pointing to Rey Mysterio as someone whose size could make the premise easier for an audience to accept.
“Maybe Rey Mysterio,” Williams said. “He’s like 5’1”. Maybe him.”
Even so, Hornswoggle was clearly his first choice. The appeal, as Williams described it, is not merely about matching up performers of comparable height. It is about having a bout that feels like an event unto itself, with a simple promotional pitch that audiences can understand immediately.
A SummerSlam Cameo That Opened the Door
Williams’ WWE involvement came during a SummerSlam match that fully embraced the promotion’s willingness to mix celebrity participation, comedy, and unconventional stipulations. Appearing as Minihausen, Williams aided Danhausen in the Human Monies on a Pole match against Dominik Mysterio.

Why the Proposed Match Has a Clear Hook
Williams’ comparisons to the Mega Powers and Rock vs. Hogan were intentionally grandiose, but they also illustrate why wrestling promotion often thrives on a concise, instantly recognizable premise. A match between Brad Williams and Hornswoggle would bring together a comedian who has already appeared in a major WWE match environment and a performer with a long history in WWE entertainment.
It would also have a built-in contrast of worlds. Williams is best known outside wrestling, while Hornswoggle’s profile is closely connected to the industry and to WWE’s history of character-focused programming. A feud or match would not need a complicated sporting narrative to generate curiosity. The names alone would establish the concept.
Williams also stressed the financial upside he sees in the pairing. He joked that the match should happen only if it can make “a ton of money,” before arguing that it could do exactly that. Whether WWE shares that assessment remains unknown, but the comment shows he understands the business logic behind a celebrity attraction. In his telling, the matchup needs to be treated as something bigger than a throwaway segment if it is going to happen.
There is also an element of self-awareness in Williams’ pitch. A singles match would represent a different challenge, with greater emphasis on preparation, match structure, and sustaining the audience’s interest from bell to bell. Williams’ comments suggest he is not deterred by that prospect. He wants the chance to make the concept a genuine attraction, and he believes Hornswoggle is the opponent who makes the most sense.
For now, the proposal stands as an intriguing post-SummerSlam talking point. Williams got his first major WWE event experience as Minihausen, helped Danhausen to a victory over Dominik Mysterio, and quickly turned his attention toward what could come next. If he gets his way, that next step would be a full-fledged showdown with Hornswoggle—one Williams believes could be promoted as a can’t-miss spectacle.
