Big Cass believes he has reached the strongest overall place of his professional wrestling career as he continues his return to WWE programming.

Appearing on The Sal Licata Show, Cass discussed the work he has done to improve his life away from the ring and explained why he sees his current run as fundamentally different from his first stint with WWE. The towering star has been presented as a major physical threat since returning earlier this year, targeting opponents including Je’Von Evans, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee.

For Cass, however, the biggest measure of his progress is not simply his in-ring performance or the list of names he has confronted. It is the condition he says he is in mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally.

“Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, we’re the best I’ve ever been,” Cass said. “In the best shape of my life, the healthiest I’ve ever been, you know physically diet wise just doing everything right and treating my body like a temple, treating my body how it needs to be treated, treating my brain how it needs to be treated, and kind of making sure that my brain is healthier than everything else.”

He stressed that mental health has been central to that approach. Cass said that if his mind is not functioning properly, the rest of his life and career will eventually suffer as a result.

“So you got to, if this ain’t working properly, everything else is going to fall short,” Cass said while gesturing toward his head. “So yeah, I’m at the top of my game in terms of everything where I need to be right now.”

A Different Chapter for Big Cass

Cass’ comments carry added weight because he has openly addressed the difficult circumstances surrounding the end of his original WWE run. His first period with the company included a prominent rise alongside Enzo Amore, with the pair becoming one of the most recognizable acts on WWE television during their time as a tag team. Cass later moved into a singles role, where his size, presence and power gave him the profile of a potentially significant main-event level heel.

That initial chapter did not conclude in the fashion he or WWE would have hoped. Cass has acknowledged in the past that he was not in the best place during that period. Rather than avoid that history, he has continued to speak about the importance of making changes and building a healthier foundation in all areas of his life.

His latest comments make clear that he sees that process as ongoing rather than temporary. The focus on diet, physical preparation and caring for his body is important for any WWE performer, especially one whose style is built around imposing size and force. But Cass placed equal, if not greater, importance on maintaining a healthy mind.

That distinction is notable in a business where the physical demands are constant. WWE’s schedule requires performers to handle travel, television production, live-event competition, training and the pressure that comes with being evaluated in front of a global audience. A return to a major platform can create enormous opportunity, but it also brings scrutiny. Cass’ message is that he is equipped to handle those demands in a way he was not earlier in his career.

Momentum on WWE Programming

Since returning to WWE programming earlier this year, Big Cass has wasted little time establishing himself as an aggressive presence. His actions have placed him around several respected and high-profile names, including veteran former world champion Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans.

The range of those opponents also emphasizes what Cass brings to the WWE roster. Mysterio remains one of the most accomplished and beloved figures in the company, while Dragon Lee is known for his high-speed lucha libre offense and Evans represents one of the most dynamic young athletes in WWE. Cass presents a vastly different challenge for all of them due to his height, reach and ability to control a match through power.

Targeting talents with different experience levels and styles helps establish Cass as more than a one-dimensional obstacle. It puts him in position to affect multiple areas of WWE programming, whether the company chooses to build him against established veterans, emerging stars or opponents who can use speed and aerial offense to challenge his size advantage.

His current presentation has emphasized confrontation and intimidation, fitting the identity that made him stand out in the first place. Yet his interview comments add another dimension to the story of this return. The physical dominance seen on screen is being framed by Cass as the outward result of extensive personal work behind the scenes.

Health Beyond Ring Shape

Professional wrestlers frequently speak about being in the best shape of their lives, particularly during a comeback or major career opportunity. Cass’ assessment went further than conventional training talk. He specifically connected his physical conditioning to diet, body care and emotional and spiritual well-being.

That broader perspective is significant because it suggests he is measuring success through stability as much as performance. Looking physically impressive, recovering from matches and preparing for the next WWE appearance matter, but Cass made it clear that none of those gains mean as much if he is not also taking care of his mind.

His phrasing about treating his body “like a temple” reflects a disciplined approach to maintaining the kind of condition necessary for a performer of his size. A wrestler with Cass’ frame must balance strength and mobility while also managing the accumulated strain that comes with heavy training and in-ring competition. He says he is now approaching those responsibilities with greater awareness.

The priority he placed on his brain being healthy is equally revealing. Cass did not present mental health as an afterthought or a separate issue from his career. Instead, he described it as the foundation that allows everything else to work. In his view, physical preparation, ring performance and the ability to capitalize on WWE opportunities all depend on that foundation being secure.

What Comes Next

Big Cass’ WWE return is still writing its next chapters, but his remarks offer a clear picture of how he wants this opportunity to be defined. He is not merely seeking to revisit a previous version of himself. He is presenting this run as the work of a performer who has learned from the difficult parts of his past and arrived back on a major stage with a more complete perspective.

That perspective could be vital as he pursues bigger matches and more prominent rivalries. WWE has no shortage of accomplished smaller, faster opponents who can create compelling contrasts with a powerhouse like Cass. It also has larger competitors and established names capable of testing whether his renewed confidence can translate into sustained momentum at the highest level.

For now, Cass is confident that his preparation has put him in position to meet whatever comes next. His comments were not centered on a particular championship pursuit or a specific immediate opponent. Instead, they focused on readiness: the sense that he is healthier, more disciplined and better grounded than he has ever been.

In September, Bryan Keith also discussed his partnership with Cass in AEW, another indication of the attention surrounding Cass’ professional relationships and recent work. But Cass’ latest remarks are focused squarely on his own current state as he operates again in WWE.

As his WWE return continues, the most important development may be the one Cass cannot demonstrate with a single power move or a single television confrontation. He says he has rebuilt the habits and mindset required to sustain success. If that belief continues to show through in his performances and presentation, Big Cass has a chance to make this second chapter far more meaningful than simply a return.
