AEW has added two more attractions to its All Out Tailgate Brawl lineup, with The Bang Bang Gang set to collide with a combined group of Death Riders and The Dogs, while Jack Perry will meet Katsuyori Shibata.

The Tailgate Brawl is scheduled to air on TNT and HBO Max beginning at 7 p.m. ET, one hour before the All Out pay-per-view. The new bouts were established during the September 19 edition of AEW Collision, giving the pre-show special both a major multi-man confrontation and a singles match with significant implications for Perry’s stated pursuit of Samoa Joe.

Bang Bang Gang calls out Death Riders and The Dogs

Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ace Austin of The Bang Bang Gang issued the challenge during Collision. Their intended opponents are Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders, plus David Finlay and Clark Connors of The Dogs.

The challenge was framed as a Tailgate Brawl for the following week’s All Out presentation. AEW subsequently confirmed the match for the Tailgate Brawl card.

There is an important detail in the way the bout was presented: the challenge was described as a 10-man Tailgate Brawl, but the wrestlers named in the announcement total eight competitors. The Bang Bang Gang brings four men into the fight—White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ace Austin—while Garcia, Yuta, Finlay, and Connors make up the four announced opponents. No additional participants were identified in the announcement.

As it stands, the advertised names point to an eight-man encounter, despite the 10-man description attached to the challenge. Whether AEW will add two wrestlers to the match or adjust the official match designation remains unclear. What is certain is that the Tailgate Brawl will put four prominent factions and alliances into the same fight immediately before All Out begins.

The matchup carries a particularly volatile mix of personalities. White, the Gunn brothers, and Ace Austin represent the Bang Bang Gang side of the contest, while Garcia and Yuta arrive from The Death Riders. Finlay and Connors, meanwhile, enter as The Dogs. With the presentation built around a Tailgate Brawl rather than a standard match announcement, AEW is positioning the contest as an unpredictable group battle rather than a conventional tag-team showcase.

For the Bang Bang Gang, the challenge creates an opportunity for White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ace Austin to establish momentum as a unit on a crowded All Out weekend. Their opponents offer no shortage of competitive edge, either. Garcia and Yuta bring the Death Riders presence into the match, and Finlay and Connors ensure that The Dogs will be represented as well.

The unresolved participant count may become a key development before bell time. At present, however, fans should view the match through the names officially attached to it: eight announced wrestlers, divided between the four-man Bang Bang Gang and the four-man combination of Death Riders and Dogs.

Jack Perry must go through Katsuyori Shibata

The other newly confirmed Tailgate Brawl bout places Jack Perry opposite Katsuyori Shibata. The match follows Perry’s interest in facing Samoa Joe, a pursuit that drew a response from The Opps during Collision.

The message delivered to Perry was direct: if he wants Samoa Joe, he first has to get past Shibata.

“If he wants to face Samoa Joe, he’ll have to go through Katsuyori Shibata first.”

That condition has now become an official All Out Tailgate Brawl match. Perry will enter the bout knowing that victory would strengthen his case to move closer to Joe, while Shibata has been positioned as the immediate barrier standing in his way.

The announcement does not establish that a Perry-Joe match has been finalized. Instead, it makes the Shibata contest the necessary next step in Perry’s pursuit. That distinction matters heading into the event: Perry has a clear target in Joe, but his attention must first turn to Shibata and the challenge placed in front of him by The Opps.

Shibata’s inclusion also gives the Tailgate Brawl a high-stakes singles contest alongside the announced multi-man fight. Perry’s objective is easy to understand, but the route to Samoa Joe is not automatic. He has been told exactly what must happen first, and the answer will come in the ring at the pre-pay-per-view special.

All Out pre-show takes shape

With these additions, AEW’s Tailgate Brawl will serve as more than a simple lead-in to the All Out pay-per-view. The program begins at 7 p.m. ET on both TNT and HBO Max, placing it directly in the final hour before the pay-per-view starts.

The format gives AEW an opportunity to advance rivalries and establish momentum immediately before the larger All Out card. In the case of Perry and Shibata, the outcome is tied directly to Perry’s attempt to reach Samoa Joe. In the multi-man matchup, several groups will be forced into the same environment, with the announced participants representing the Bang Bang Gang, The Death Riders, and The Dogs.

The Tailgate Brawl naming also suggests that the atmosphere will be distinct from a typical pre-show match presentation. Still, AEW has not provided additional rules or stipulations beyond the match description. The central facts currently confirmed are the teams involved, the named wrestlers, and the broadcast window.

For viewers, the one element to monitor in the days leading up to All Out is the discrepancy surrounding the multi-man match. The original challenge called for a 10-man Tailgate Brawl, while only eight competitors were named: Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, David Finlay, and Clark Connors. Until AEW clarifies the matter, it is unknown whether the bout will remain an eight-man contest or expand with further additions.

Regardless of that unanswered question, the announced card direction is clear. The Bang Bang Gang is preparing for a fight with Death Riders and Dogs representatives, and Jack Perry will try to overcome Katsuyori Shibata before he can realistically turn his focus back toward Samoa Joe. Both developments will unfold on the AEW All Out Tailgate Brawl, airing at 7 p.m. ET on TNT and HBO Max ahead of the pay-per-view.
