IShowSpeed has spoken about the personal significance of wrestling at WrestleMania 42, describing the experience as the realization of a childhood ambition built through years of watching WWE.
The streamer and influencer has become an increasingly familiar celebrity presence around WWE over the last several years. What began with a memorable surprise cameo at WrestleMania XL developed into additional appearances on WWE programming, a spot in the 2025 Royal Rumble, and eventually an in-ring role on WWE’s biggest annual stage. At WrestleMania 42, Speed teamed with Logan Paul and Austin Theory.
Looking back during an appearance on Cold As Balls, Speed explained that his younger self would not have believed where his connection to WWE has taken him.
“If you would tell my eight-year-old self this? He would go bananas and start doing backflips!” Speed said. “But I’m actually doing it now, like I’m actually living a dream! I’ve been watching WWE since I was seven, and now I’m wrestling in WrestleMania.”

The comments underline why Speed’s WWE involvement has stood apart from a routine celebrity cameo. His appearances have been framed by his long-established enthusiasm for the product, and his progression has put him in increasingly physical situations rather than keeping him strictly outside the ropes. For Speed, WrestleMania was not merely a high-profile collaboration attached to his streaming career. It was a moment connected to something he says he has followed since childhood.
From Prime Bottle to WrestleMania Competitor
Speed first appeared in WWE during WrestleMania XL in 2024. In one of the event’s more talked-about celebrity moments, he was disguised in a Prime bottle costume before being revealed and receiving an RKO from Randy Orton.
That first outing was brief, but it immediately placed Speed in the middle of a major WrestleMania scene and showed that WWE was prepared to use him in a way that fit both his public profile and the energy of its programming. The visual of Orton hitting the RKO gave the segment a clear wrestling payoff, while the Prime costume connected the appearance to Logan Paul’s business relationship with the brand.
From there, Speed’s relationship with WWE did not end after a single surprise. He later appeared on WWE Raw and entered the 2025 Royal Rumble. The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s most recognizable match concepts and a particularly demanding environment for any guest performer, because it requires participants to operate amid a constantly changing field of wrestlers and the heightened pace of a major premium live event.
His subsequent WrestleMania 42 involvement marked another step forward. Teaming with Paul and Theory gave Speed a place alongside two performers with extensive experience on WWE’s largest stages. Paul has repeatedly competed in major featured matches since beginning his WWE run, while Theory has been a prominent figure across WWE programming and is a former United States Champion. For Speed, being placed in that setting represented a notable level of trust in his ability to contribute to a WrestleMania presentation.
A Connection Between Streaming and WWE
Speed’s work in WWE has also crossed over into his primary platform as a livestreamer. The relationship has allowed WWE talent to enter his content world, creating material that speaks to both his online audience and wrestling viewers.
One such example came following an interaction between Speed and LA Knight. Knight, himself a former United States Champion, later “broke into” Speed’s house for an appearance on one of Speed’s streams. The angle continued the kind of character-driven interaction that WWE often uses to extend storylines beyond its television broadcasts, while also giving Speed’s audience a direct encounter with a major WWE personality.
That crossover is valuable for both sides. Speed has built a massive audience through a fast-moving, highly reactive streaming style, while WWE has increasingly looked for ways to place its stars and stories in spaces where younger and digitally engaged fans already spend their time. A livestream appearance is not the same as a match or a television segment, but it can introduce wrestlers to viewers who may not otherwise follow weekly WWE programming.
At the same time, Speed’s own progression has meant that he has not been treated solely as a host for WWE guests. His appearances have involved physicality, and his willingness to take part in wrestling situations has drawn praise. That reception matters when discussing any outside personality in WWE, where the line between a one-night attraction and a recurring participant often comes down to whether the guest can perform their role safely, credibly, and with the right level of commitment.
No WWE Appearance Since WrestleMania 42
Despite the attention around his WrestleMania 42 match, Speed has not appeared on WWE television since that event. There is no confirmed date for his next appearance, and no match or storyline has been announced for his return.
However, Speed indicated in an August 2026 post that he plans to come back to the promotion at some point. The statement does not establish a timetable, but it makes clear that he views WrestleMania 42 as something more than a final chapter in his WWE involvement.
That possibility is unsurprising given the way his appearances have unfolded. WWE has already found multiple ways to present Speed: as a surprise reveal at WrestleMania XL, as a participant on Raw, as an entrant in the Royal Rumble, and as part of a WrestleMania 42 team with Paul and Theory. Those roles have allowed the company to use different aspects of his persona, from the unpredictability associated with his streams to his obvious excitement about being involved with wrestling.
A future return could take many forms, but WWE has not confirmed what that may look like. Speed’s current focus remains on streaming and his broader career as an influencer. Any further in-ring involvement would therefore need to fit around those commitments, as well as WWE’s own creative plans.
Why the WrestleMania Moment Matters
Celebrity involvement has long been part of WrestleMania’s identity. The event routinely brings together wrestling, sports, entertainment, and internet culture, often giving major outside figures opportunities to participate in front of WWE’s largest audience. Not every guest arrives with the same level of personal connection to the product, though.
Speed’s comments suggest that his experience belongs in a different category from a purely promotional appearance. He was not simply visiting a spectacle he recognized from afar. He says he grew up watching WWE, and the chance to wrestle at WrestleMania placed him inside the kind of event he once experienced as a fan.
That is the foundation of the emotion in his remarks. The achievement is not only that he was invited onto a global entertainment platform. It is that he made the transition from watching wrestlers as a seven-year-old to participating in a WrestleMania match himself.
Speed’s WWE story has already produced several memorable moments in a relatively short period, beginning with the RKO at WrestleMania XL and continuing through the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 42. Whether his next WWE appearance comes soon or much later, he has made it clear that he expects there to be another chapter. For now, his reflection on WrestleMania 42 captures the significance of a fan finding himself in the ring at the very event he once dreamed of seeing.
