Expect The Unexpected Wrestling brought ETU Show Me Vol. 1 to The Mecca in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, on October 25. The event, which aired on IWTV, featured a card built around title defenses, a three-team tag team contest, a four-way match, and an escalating rivalry between Devious Cass and Isaiah Broner.

Champions held firm across the card. Janai Kai retained the ETU Coastal Crown Championship against Jordan Blade, while Ikuro Kwon remained ETU Key To The East Champion following his match with Dustin Waller. The Expected, Gabriel Skye and Matt Mako, also left Ridgefield Park with the ETU Atlantic Tag Team Championships after successfully defending against 4825.

The show additionally included a championship defense from BST Champion Joseph Alexander, victories for Leah Night, RULLO, Marcus Mathers, and Violence Is Forever, and two separate decisions involving Cass and Broner. The first meeting ended in a disqualification, leading to a No Disqualifications rematch later on the card.

Devious Cass and Isaiah Broner meet twice

The most unusual structure of the evening came through the two-match series between Devious Cass and Isaiah Broner. Their initial match officially went to Cass via disqualification. That outcome did not settle matters, as the two competitors then faced each other again under No Disqualifications rules.

With no disqualifications available in the rematch, Cass once again emerged victorious. The results give Cass two wins over Broner on the same event, although the nature of those wins was markedly different. The first came through a ruling, while the second required Cass to overcome Broner in a match where disqualification was removed as a possible finish.

The back-to-back results established a clear result for the night without providing any indication that the issue between the two has reached its conclusion. ETU’s decision to present the No Disqualifications bout after the disqualification ending made the second contest the decisive one on the card.

Championship picture remains stable

Janai Kai continued her reign as ETU Coastal Crown Champion with a successful defense over Jordan Blade. Kai’s victory keeps the Coastal Crown title with its reigning champion after a singles encounter against Blade, who entered one of the event’s prominent championship matches.

Ikuro Kwon likewise retained his position at the top of the Key To The East division. Kwon defeated Dustin Waller to remain ETU Key To The East Champion. The result adds another successful title defense to Kwon’s reign and leaves Waller without the championship following their matchup at The Mecca.

The BST Championship was also defended, with Joseph Alexander defeating Troy Parker to retain. Alexander entered Show Me Vol. 1 as champion and maintained that status by the end of the event. Parker challenged the titleholder but was unable to turn the opportunity into a championship win.

Three separate singles championships were therefore defended on the card, and all three incumbent champions retained. Kai, Kwon, and Alexander each survived their respective challenges, giving ETU a night in which its titleholders successfully protected their positions.

The Expected retain ETU Atlantic Tag Team Championships

The Expected, the team of Gabriel Skye and Matt Mako, defended the ETU Atlantic Tag Team Championships against 4825, represented by Jamesen Shook and Jaden Newman. Skye and Mako retained the titles, ending 4825’s effort to take the championships from the reigning team.

Tag team competition was a major part of the Show Me Vol. 1 lineup beyond the title bout. Violence Is Forever, Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku, defeated both Dual Focus and Die-Spora in a three-team match. Dual Focus consisted of JJP and KB Prime, while Die-Spora was represented by Angelo Carter and Kwesi Asante.

That result placed Violence Is Forever ahead of two opposing teams in a crowded contest. Garrini and Ku earned the win over both pairings, while JJP and KB Prime, Carter and Asante, were unable to secure victory.

With The Expected retaining their championships and Violence Is Forever picking up a multi-team win, ETU’s tag division had notable results at Show Me Vol. 1. The champions remain in place, while another established tandem left with a victory over two sets of opposition.

Singles wins for Leah Night, RULLO and Marcus Mathers

Leah Night defeated Nessa Ferrari in singles action. The result gave Night a direct victory over Ferrari on a card that included several championship-level attractions and multi-person bouts.

RULLO won the event’s four-way match, defeating Angel Jacquez, Tyler Jordan, and Austin Luke. In a match where three other wrestlers were vying for the same result, RULLO emerged with the win over Jacquez, Jordan, and Luke.

Marcus Mathers also added a victory, defeating J Boujii in singles competition. Mathers’ win came in a one-on-one contest and rounded out a lineup that showcased both title matches and non-title bouts.

Every match on the announced results carried a definitive winner, including the first Cass-Broner contest, which was decided through disqualification. The card’s results featured champions retaining in their scheduled defenses, a team title match, a three-team battle, a four-way contest, and the No Disqualifications rematch between Cass and Broner.
