Chelsea Green brought the WWE Women’s Championship to Raw for a direct confrontation with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, but the exchange ahead of Night of Champions ended with Green laid out by Morgan and The Judgment Day. Green will meet Morgan for the Women’s Crown Jewel title at the premium live event, and Raw made clear that the champions’ rivalry has quickly become personal.

Rather than allowing Green’s arrival to remain a verbal showdown, Morgan’s Judgment Day stablemate Roxanne Perez stepped into the situation. Perez faced Green in a singles match that gave Morgan a close look at one of her upcoming opponents. Perez ultimately scored the victory with Pop Rox, before Morgan added a decisive post-match attack with Ob-LIV-ion.

The segment put several key elements of the Night of Champions showdown into focus. Green arrived carrying the status of WWE Women’s Champion, while Morgan used her position as Women’s World Champion to question whether Green belongs at the same level. Green responded by targeting Morgan’s relationship with Dominik Mysterio, turning a champion-versus-champion contest into a far more pointed conflict.

Liv Morgan dismisses Chelsea Green

Morgan did not give Green a respectful reception on Raw. Speaking to her fellow champion, Morgan said she could not take Green seriously and labeled her a placeholder champion. It was a deliberate attempt to diminish Green before their Women’s Crown Jewel title match, with Morgan framing Green’s reign as something temporary rather than a threat to her own standing.

Green did not back down from the criticism. She said she would make Morgan respect her, then delivered a cutting answer of her own by calling Morgan “Dominik Mysterio’s placeholder girlfriend.” The comment immediately pushed the confrontation beyond the championships at stake. Green’s response was not merely about defending her own credibility; it was designed to hit Morgan where the Women’s World Champion is most likely to react.

That reaction came in the form of Perez. With Morgan backed by The Judgment Day, Green’s confrontation did not stay a one-on-one exchange between the two titleholders for long. Perez intervened, and the situation became an official match between Perez and Green.

For Green, the bout represented an opportunity to build momentum heading toward Night of Champions while proving that Morgan’s dismissal was misplaced. For Perez, it was a chance to support Morgan and hand The Judgment Day an advantage before the champions meet for the Women’s Crown Jewel title.

Roxanne Perez survives Chelsea Green’s response

Green and Perez began their match brawling on the outside. They were locked up away from the ring, but both competitors made it back inside before the referee’s ten count could end the contest. The opening established that neither woman was interested in easing into the match, particularly after the verbal confrontation that had brought them to this point.

Perez took control with a Shining Wizard and covered Green, but the WWE Women’s Champion kicked out. Green answered with a German Suplex, refusing to let Perez turn an early strike into a quick victory. The sequence gave Green a needed response after Morgan had openly questioned her legitimacy only moments earlier.

Perez continued to press forward and connected with a moonsault. Green, however, remained a problem for The Judgment Day to put away. The match then spilled into the ringside area surrounding Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, increasing the sense that the confrontation between the champions was never far from the action.

Green sent Perez into Rodriguez, creating a collision that affected Morgan as well. Green then sent Morgan flying over the announce table. It was Green’s clearest moment of physical control over the Women’s World Champion during the segment, and it showed that Morgan could not simply sit at ringside and insult her without becoming part of the chaos.

Still, Perez regained the opening she needed. She connected with Pop Rox and pinned Green for the three-count. The result gave Perez a significant win over the WWE Women’s Champion, while simultaneously giving Morgan and The Judgment Day the momentum coming out of Raw.

The Judgment Day delivers the final message

The match result was not the end of Green’s difficult night. After Perez had defeated her, Morgan attacked Green with Ob-LIV-ion. Morgan then stood on Green while holding her Women’s World Championship aloft, creating a final image intended to reinforce Morgan’s confidence before Night of Champions.

It was an emphatic closing statement from Morgan. Green had come to Raw hoping to force respect from her opponent and had managed to knock Morgan over the announce table in the process. But Morgan left with Green down on the mat, Perez’s win in the books, and The Judgment Day standing tall.

That does not change the fact that Green remains WWE Women’s Champion or erase her opportunity at Night of Champions. It does, however, give Morgan a tangible advantage in the psychological battle. Morgan’s central claim was that Green is a placeholder, and Perez’s victory followed by Morgan’s attack gave that message a strong visual conclusion on Raw.

Green now has an added reason to respond before the Women’s Crown Jewel title match. The issue is no longer only whether she can defeat Morgan in a meeting between champions. She has also been publicly dismissed, beaten by Morgan’s ally, and left laid out beneath Morgan’s championship.

What the Night of Champions match now represents

The Women’s Crown Jewel title match at Night of Champions is positioned as a clash between two champions who believe the other does not deserve the same level of respect. Morgan sees Green as a placeholder. Green sees Morgan as someone whose relationship with Mysterio can be used to undermine her confidence. Neither argument is likely to be forgotten after the events on Raw.

Morgan enters the match with the apparent support system of The Judgment Day. Perez’s victory over Green was a reminder that Morgan has dangerous allies surrounding her, while Rodriguez’s presence at ringside added another complicating factor during the match. Green’s ability to send Perez into Rodriguez and Morgan over the announce table also showed that she is willing to confront that group’s numbers rather than be intimidated by them.

There is also a clear difference between the end of Raw and what will be required at Night of Champions. Perez defeated Green in a singles match, but Morgan still must face Green herself with the Women’s Crown Jewel title at stake. Green’s loss creates questions about her momentum, yet it does not settle the question of which champion can win when they finally stand across the ring from each other.

Raw delivered Morgan the upper hand for now. She dismissed Green, watched Perez score the pinfall, and finished the night by dropping Green with Ob-LIV-ion. Green, meanwhile, showed flashes of resistance and ensured Morgan felt the physical consequences of the confrontation when she was sent over the announce table.

The road to Night of Champions has therefore become more hostile, more personal, and more difficult for Green. The WWE Women’s Champion wanted Morgan’s respect. Instead, she received a loss and an attack. Whether that humiliation becomes the motivation Green needs to reverse the outcome when the Women’s Crown Jewel title is on the line remains the central question coming out of Raw.
