Paul Heyman will be stationed at ringside, adding another layer of intrigue to an already high-stakes encounter between performers who have each been presented as potential centerpiece stars.
Femi enters the bout with substantial momentum behind him. The man known as “The Ruler” is coming off a King of the Ring victory and a major SummerSlam win over Brock Lesnar, accomplishments that have elevated his standing considerably. Breakker, meanwhile, remains one-half of the World Tag Team Champions, but has clear incentive to secure a defining singles victory against an opponent of Femi’s stature.
That combination has led to questions over whether WWE will allow either man to absorb a straightforward loss at this stage. On Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray suggested that the answer could be a dramatic interference involving a familiar name connected to Breakker and Heyman: Bronson Reed.
“There’s a guy in the shadows that we have seen that’s a part of Bron Breakker’s story, a part of The Vision with Bron Breakker and a guy who’s got himself into amazing cosmetic shape and that’s Bronson Reed,” Bully Ray said on Busted Open Radio. “Am I looking too much into this or is there a better than good chance that Bronson Reed comes in, decimates both of these guys and says, ‘You’re not the future. You’re not the future. I am the future,’ and the guy standing by his side is Paul Heyman.”
A Match With More at Stake Than a Single Result
The central issue surrounding Femi versus Breakker is not simply who leaves Atlanta with a victory. WWE’s presentation has made the match a referendum on which athlete may be best positioned to carry the next era of the promotion. Both competitors possess the size, explosiveness, athletic pedigree, and credibility necessary to make that argument, while Heyman’s ringside role ensures that the story will extend beyond the bell.

During his rehabilitation, Reed has shared social-media images revealing a notably leaner and more toned appearance, fueling discussion about what his return might look like.
The physical transformation matters because Reed was already a dangerous presence before being sidelined. A wrestler with his size and power can immediately be presented as a threat to almost anyone, particularly if he returns by overwhelming two athletes who are being marketed as foundational WWE stars. Rather than gradually reintroducing him in a lower-profile setting, an attack at Sunday Night’s Main Event would make Reed’s intentions unmistakable.
Bully Ray’s theory also draws on the existing connections within Breakker’s orbit. Reed has been part of The Vision alongside Breakker, meaning a return could naturally reopen questions about that group’s hierarchy and its relationship with Heyman. Would Reed arrive as reinforcements for Breakker? Would he instead see Breakker as a rival for Heyman’s attention? The latter possibility is what gives the proposed angle its greatest potential. Reed does not need to return merely as muscle for another wrestler. Paul Heyman Could Hold the Key

That assessment is rooted in the amount of credibility Femi has accumulated through his recent run.

A loss to Breakker, particularly in a competitive match, would not automatically erase that progress. It could instead add adversity to Femi’s path and create an opening for a rematch or a broader rivalry.
Breakker, however, arguably has more immediate need for momentum in singles competition. The World Tag Team Championship keeps him prominently positioned, but beating Femi would provide a different kind of validation. It would show that Breakker can defeat a wrestler who has recently beaten one of WWE’s most feared and accomplished attractions.
That logic makes a clean Breakker victory plausible. It also demonstrates why an interference finish is not the only route WWE could take. The match has enough built-in stakes that a decisive outcome can advance either performer, provided the loser is protected by the quality and competitiveness of the contest.
